Worst service in the neighborhood and the food isnât good either!! First, they called me up & cancelled the order citing some lame reason and later called me back an hour later saying the order is ready! They even denied having called me to cancel my order. Worst⌠I am charged $52 for the food that I will never receive! I have to now deal with calling them multiple times to receive a refund phew.
I see owner replied but am unable to respond to that thread so am updating my response hereâŚ.
Shamla, You have gotten the facts wrong and either are lying intentionally or u really have no clue what happened! So let me enlighten youâŚ. :-) I placed the order 2.38pm and as soon as I received a confirmation text that said 4pm I called your restaurant at 2.39pm to cancel the order since they werenât able to make it by 3pm closing time. At first , I was told they will honor the order except one item I.e., tandoori chicken. I agreed! Then I received a call back from your restaurant 2.43pm and that gentlemenâs told be he is cancelling the order since they will be going on break soon! For which I graciously agreed! Absolutely no problems !!!!
I called your evening shift employee only to confirm that the order was cancelled since the gentlemen who called me wasnât clear in his communication in English. I was confirmed even by your evening shift employee that the order has been cancelled.
At no point have I expected you or your team to work during breaks. Simply put you donât have a process in place to cancel orders that are placed online! Thatâs what was told to me by your staff! If you do have one please share!
Now finally I received an ABUSIVE call from your restaurant at 4.01pm asking me why I havenât showed up to pick up my food! In response I tried to reach you at your other restaurant Dil Se! Got no response. Asked your evening shift employee to please connect me to you. Have also shared the screen shots of my call records with your evening shift employee and will be happy to share it with you too!
Your staff was very abusive Order was cancelled by your staff ! Food quality is really bad! 90% of the dishes have degraded and only tandoori is average.
And absolutely No one forced me to buy food from Dabba! It was my mistake alone and I promise you I wonât be repeating that mistake! Thanks for your encouragement too on this!
I appreciate that in the end you have decided to do the bare minimum required and have decided to refund the 52$ (which I havenât received yet btw) - but again why would any business charge money for goods or service they have not provided/offered? Do you ever walk into a store and just pay money and walk out without getting any product ?
Please reach out to me ! And I will be more than happy to share the details with regards to quality of food comment! Your evening shift employee should be able to give you my number !
Thanks &...
Read moreThis place is great! While I have never been to India I LOVE Indian food but am very picky. Not sure if the determining factor to my pickiness is region based or just great VS good food but I have a few favorite places that are all too far from home to visit regularly. We tried this place on a whim midweek and both the wife and I could not have been happier! I ordered the Butter Masala chicken with rice and the Kale Pakoras. The wife ordered the indo Chinese noodles and we got a Buttered Naan to share. The sauces were incredible, the butter masala was rich and creamy with a level of spice that was enough to bring forward the flavor but not enough to make it too hot. I like spicy foods but the wife is a little sensitive to them and she said it was perfect for her. The order was picked up in short time and everything was fresh and hot I will absolutely be coming back here in the near future to try more items off the menu and will update my review accordingly
They do not add rice to the dishes, you have to order it seperate. The price of the items on the menu reflect this and were very reasonable prices. At the time when I ordered this it was $2.00 to add rice to (again) a very reasonably priced dish. Tip included and pickup by us it was under $40.00 for us both to eat and have leftovers for lunch the next day plus some more snacking in between. I really appreciate that they don't automatically include it in your dish, some people don't want it or like it and some people do. Now you get the choice to either pay for it or not. Truth is, if they had just added $2.00 to the price of the dishes instead nobody would even bat an eye but they gave people the option and of course, as people do.....they complain about it.
On a side note, Ubereats is a greedy company that I will not support. A few of our friends run restaurants/bars and after hearing all the horror stories of this company we will not support them. Long wait times, cold food, hefty charges added to orders and all at the cost of the restaurant you are "supporting". I would strongly recommend picking your food up if another option...
Read moreSomeone needs to tell them that chicken do pyaza isnât pepper chicken and you are supposed to give what customer asks for, pepper chicken in this case.
The order i gave was for pepper chicken and what I got was gravy with a couple chicken pieces and onion stuffed in.
Not to mention that the guy at the bill counter is a nasty touchy little fellow who threw tantrums when I asked him is this meat halal or non halal. He said itâs halal and he had no certification to show for this - not visible at least.
He then refused to deliver the order and I was happy to walk off. Should have done that but another gentleman gave the order charging me for rice which is usually free in Indian restaurants
Edited after response from owner:
Appreciate the response. I feel when you open an Indian restaurant you should try to make the entree as generic as possible as the customer will be pan Indian rather than from a specific part of India. If the intention is to serve only a specific region then kindly mention it in menu. That would help everyone.
There are couple mentions about the front desk guy about being nasty or rude. This is not good. How can he choose to not deliver an order when customer is paying and asking a genuine question about nature of meat being served. As allergens are mentioned a small mention of halal or non halal would help. Not far from your restaurant the Mediterranean restaurant has mentioned the nature of meat being served. Not sure why you canât do that. ...
