Ok so usually when I plan my trip the 1st thing I do is log into Yelp app to find the best restaurant to fill my appetite and naturally this one showed up on the top in Klamath falls location, there was no way I could have let it pass. So, after our visit from crater lake we checked into our motel got freshened up and headed straight to wubba's. As you enter on the right they have lounge and on the right you have dining we went for the dining and promptly got greeted by our server nicole. She was enthusiastic, knowledgable and nice so that kind of started us on the right track, Since we were just two people we went for getting the judges combo and sharing it along with those two extra appetizer for 2.99. It was a 15 min wait from then on and boom she brings in two huge plates filled with some amazing meat and appetizers. Really, believe me I literally started salivating from the look of it. I had St.Louis ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, grilled chicken , mashed potatoes, onion straws, seasoned fries and corn fritters in front of me. Now lets delicately slice through each one of them.
St.Louis Ribs - They had a bit more bbq sauce on them but as many users have noted did not have that smoky flavor to it but yeah the meat did fell off the bone and the taste was good not great. To put it in different words, the taste wasn't authentic.
Beef Brisket - These chunks were flavorful and juicy enough, the meat was tender and had that nice crust on the exterior which held on to the flavor more, they were cooked medium well and soft enough to chew.
Grilled Chicken - Nothing special, they actually should have given chicken leg quarter but since they ran out of it they substituted the same with this grilled thing, somewhat this dish was a bit out of place like it does not belong to a bbq shack though it had a distinct flavor the chicken was a bit dry.
Pulled pork - This is the star of the evening, perfectly cooked still holding on to the juices and each strand yelling me out to gorge them as quickly as possible.
Mashed potatoes - Another highlight, they do make an actual mashed potato from scratch not the slimy crappy one we r so scared of, they actually taste really good with natural ingredients blending in to provide a nice distinct flavor.
Onion straws - Thin onion strings dipped in battered blended with salt, pepper and deep fried, they do taste amazing.
Seasoned fries - The same that we all have eaten anywhere we go.
Corn fritters - Taste it to know it, a must get over here.
Overall, the food works well as a combo but individually they do range from 2 to 5 stars. Definitely, not the authentic BBQ shacks but more of an imitation crab in sushis. One star extra for...
Read moreMy husband and I were looking for a good burger!! When we walked in, there were two couples in front of us to be seated. The host was busy getting tables cleaned and seating as fast as she could, which wasn't long. When she got to us, I asked if we could have a booth on the left side (there were two other booths accupied over there as well. We were on a date for my birthday and didn't want to sit at a table in the middle of the busy room). She said no problem, but that they only had one server on. I as a server myself, said I totally understood and it was no hurry to get to us. The girl who sat us (Brandi) ended up coming back very quickly for our drink and appetizer order. Followed by our food order soon after. My husband and I decided to order two different burgers and split them. We got the classic burger, which came with lettuce, tomato, and onion on the side, choice of cheese, and we added grilled, onion, mushroom, and jalapenos! AMAZING! Also, the Hogs burger, burger patty, with juicy pulled pork, grilled onions, cheddar cheese, topped with coleslaw!! It was yummmmy, and messy! We were really impressed with how quickly the food came, and also the quality, when they seemed a little busy! Our server Brandi (who was actually the host for the evening, but then took a few tables to help out her coworker) gave GREAT service. Brandi was super friendly, attentive, and always smiling!! At the end, when I told her we were specifically looking for a good burger, she said she wished she would have known, as their lunch menu has a few more burger options in it!! Which we will try another time! We now have had 2 really good experiences with the food, and service!! Will definitely be...
Read moreFan-freaking-tastic! Coming from Utah, after stopping in Elko, NV for lunch, and seeing our arrival time to be about 8:15, the dreaded red notice came up that Wubbas closes at 9pm, so We were worried that food service would be winding down or they would be out of something. Or that the food may take an hour to prep and we’d be forced to take the food elsewhere or have to go to another restaurant. We were very much in the mood for some good BBQ, and we were DEFINITELY not disappointed! Brisket meat was melting in our mouths, and had the perfect amount of fat to flavor the meat. My kids ate all the ribs, so I didn’t get to try any, but the pulled pork was tender, juicy, and flavorful. We were so full, we hadn’t even tried the half chicken. Now for the sides. My daughter ordered the green beans. They were green beans. The mashed potatoes were excellent, but the fries! I’m a VERY picky fry guy, and I can say these were amazing battered fries. Perfectly salty. And to top it all off, they served fry sauce! It was awesome! I thought they only had that in Utah, but it was a pleasant surprise. And the fritters? I’m usually not a fan, but these were the best I’ve had, and served with a honey butter that just hit the right spot…a little sweet with the savory. Loved it all. Very tasty overall. And we ended it with a large brownie that didn’t disappoint either. We had so many leftovers, that were all excited for lunch tomorrow! Oh, and I can’t say good enough things about our waitress. Perfectly attentive and very...
