Terrible experience. We had a party of 12. The restaurant was not busy. We wanted to wait to be sat to double check the number of people that would be joining us but the man up front rushed us into a table anyways. No biggie we chatted while we waited for the rest of our party. The 5 of us ordered drinks that came out about 15-20 minutes later. By then the rest of the group had joined and also order their drinks which also came out about 15-20 minutes later. Our waitress refilled our drinks one time after waiting forever for a refill. The appetizer came out with the entrees and 2 of the grandslamwiches we ordered came out as a grand slam meal. That’s an easy mistake and my friend and I patiently waited for them to remake our food only for our waitress to bring out burgers instead after everyone else at the table had finished eating. We were tired and hungry so we ate the burgers instead. Waitress did offer me a free dessert but I would’ve just preferred my correct order. She told me that issue was that the kitchen didn’t speak any English and there was nothing she could do. We asked for the check to split about 5 ways and after not getting the check for so long we just went to the host stand to check out. They split the checks incorrectly so we just ended up paying for what was on the checks and venmoing each other and the guy at the front counter complained saying we should’ve just done that all along. The tip prompt popped up and I answered accordingly to what I thought was deserved for the poor service we had, to which the man checking us out replied sarcastically “very generous of you” and explained the waitresses only get paid enough to cover taxes. I understand that, I am a waitress myself but tips are for the service provided. I am more than happy to leave a good tip for good service when it is earned. Restaurant staff know going into their job that they have to provide good service to get paid. I was not upset at all until he had to make the sarcastic comment. Very...
Read moreThis was previously one of my favorite places to get a delicious decently priced meal. This is no longer the case because of my most recent visit. I went with a group of people to get a meal after a milestone in my life, the meal was great and so was the service, we got separate checks because, as most groups do, we were paying separately. When we got to the register the first half of our group payed with a coupon. They used their starving student card to get one of the entrees on their ticket for free. I, as the representative of my part of the group, went to pay, I also had my own starving student card and was hoping to take advantage of the same deal. The very rude, and unprofessional employee that was ringing us up then proceeded to tell me the coupon was only per table. I would've been happy to comply with this policy if maybe we were using the same starving student card, or we were all on the same check, but that was not the case. I then pointed out to the employee that the coupon had unlimited uses, and it didn't say anything about a table on the coupon. This left the employee unaffected, and he replied with a snide comment "we gotta to make money." This left a very bad taste in my mouth. I have gone to this same Denny's in the past and taken advantage of the same deal in the exact same way, and...
Read moreSo incredibly disappointed. My 2 sons and I spend every Halloween and New Years Eve at Dennys. Many Sundays as well. We typically have decent experiences. Tonight was definitely NOT one of those times. There were maybe 3 tables occupied when we got there. 2 of the tables only had 2 people and the other had 1. Not only was the food slow, it was cold and apparently they're cutting costs with fake cheese and coffee refills. I had to ask another server for a fill up because once we got our food, I guess our server decided to go on break or something because she didn't check back until it was time to get boxes and the check. One of my sons and I wanted dessert so he picked the apple cobbler and I went with caramel banana pancakes. I'm quite confident the cobbler was already made earlier in the day and pancakes shouldn't take anywhere as long as they did. Well over 30 minutes! We were at the restaurant for an hour and a half! MUCH of that time was waiting. Again, not even remotely busy nor understaffed. I feel like I just threw $50 in the trash. I'm extremely discouraged from continuing our tradition. It's been just the 3 of us their entire lives. They're 21 and 17! That's how long we've had these traditions. Man, just so super bummed. Looks like we'll be looking for an alternative diner for future...
