This WAS my favorite pizza to order, until their awful customer service outweighed the quality of the pizza. I had ordered from Arrenello's about 13 times in 3 or 4 months and had experienced rudeness over the phone prior the the incident that pushed me over the edge this past weekend. This past weekend I called and ordered 2 pizza's, one of which I requested light on the cheese (as my 3 and 4 year old niece and nephew are picky eaters). The pizza gets delivered and the light cheese pizza is essentially dough and sauce. So my wife calls to request another pizza (one with actual cheese this time) and instead of an apology or any shred of customer service, shes met with a rude explanation and a lecture on how our pizza DID have easy cheese on it and we should have ordered a MEDIUM amount of cheese as Arrenello's apparently has their own cheese amount lingo no one else knows about. She tries to explain that we ordered light cheese, not no cheese and we have very hungry toddlers at the house, still no apology for any sort of miscommunication, no customer service skills in play here at all. They tell us they're really backed up and will TRY to get us a pizza when they get around to it. Fast forward 2 hours, still no pizza of course. I call in and re-explain the situation and ask how much longer until our replacement pizza comes. I am told that the delivery guy already attempted to redeliver our pizza and was pounding on our door and calling my cell phone non stop and eventually gave up, went back to the shop and threw the pizza out and went home because he was "very upset." Funny part about that story is, we were sitting in my front room, which is next to our front door and I had my phone in my lap the entire time, at no point did my phone ring, register a missed call or was there ever a knock at the door. I calmly explain that to the man on the phone and he proceeds to tell me, basically that I'm full of it and then diverts his attention to explaining to me that he made the original pizza in question and it definitely had light cheese on it, he begins to try to lecture me about how to order amounts of cheese, to which I informed him, that not only was the pizza literally red from only having sauce on it, but that despite the fact that I have ordered from Arrenello's almost every Saturday night for the last 4 months and have quite honestly over paid for their pizza every time (as it is very over priced) I will not be ordering from them again because of the piss poor route they took to handle this situation, to which he replied: "OK sir have a good night." Apparently they care a lot about customer satisfaction and retaining...
Read moreTo understand the environment of arrenellos Tinley Park, I'll start by saying I'm a black man. I went into this arrenellos years ago, and they seemed like bigots as I was 2nd in line and they took the white person in front of me(1st in line), then the white person behind me(3rd in line) before allowing me to pick up my order. To avoid that kind of interaction and still wanting an arrenellos pizza, I called for delivery. I ordered a medium thick crust sausage and pepperoni then remembered 10 minutes later I forgot to order a 2 liter with it. The first time I called, I placed my order with the manager. When I called for the 2 liter I was told that they had already cooked a sausage and mushroom pizza for me... I am allergic to mushroom. I would never order that. I then asked to speak to the manager, he refused to talk to me again and I could hear him say in the background" Why did he call back?" I then asked "How can we make this right?" They then said I could either take the pizza or leave it because they wouldn't do the correct thing and remake the pizza how I ordered it because the manager didnt want to risk the wrong order again. So it wasnt worth my business to listen to the order the first or second time. No more arrenellos tinley park for me....
Read moreThis was the third time we tried to order delivery and this time we were able to actually have them come out and deliver. It will be the LAST TIME we order from there - and it has nothing to do with the quality of the food. We ordered family size thin crust pepperoni pizza and asked for it to be "well done". The pizza was really quite good, the sauce was sweet without overtaking your entire palette. They browned the pizza perfectly. The problem comes in with the fact that they charged $5 to make it well done BUT DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT. The food was delivered quickly and the delivery driver had the credit card machine to swipe the card. Here's the other problem... we were charged a HIGHER PRICE ($2.32) than what we were told and what the receipt said. IS there a fee for using a card? Was it an honest mistake? Who knows? I can't seem to get through since their hours are minimal. It's pretty frustrating that they charged us extra and DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT. If they had mentioned the extra charges then it wouldn't be a big deal but seriously, you took extra money without the slightest mention of it. That is completely...
