Wow, where do I even start with the customer service at this Jack in the Box? Honestly, I feel like the only thing keeping this location in Tinley Park alive is the name Jack in the Box. I think a lot of people in the community were really excited when this restaurant opened, but what we’ve gotten has been far below expectations.
Let me start with my first visit. My son wanted to try it out, so we went through the drive through. We ended up waiting 2 and a half hours just to get two burgers. I wish I was exaggerating, but I’m not. The worst part? Once you’re in the drive through, you can’t leave because of the concrete barriers, so we were completely stuck. There were only about ten cars ahead of us, which made it even more unbelievable.
Fast forward to today, my son asked if we could give it another try. This time we went inside to avoid the drive through nightmare, but it honestly wasn’t any better. Customers were complaining left and right about missing ingredients, no tomatoes, no this, no that. After waiting about 40 minutes, we finally got our burgers. Then we went to fill our drinks, only to find that most of the fountains were either pouring water instead of soda or had completely flat drinks with no carbonation.
My husband asked for a refund for the drinks, but that turned into another 15 minute wait for a manager who never showed up. We finally gave up and just left.
I would highly encourage you to review the video footage inside the restaurant and in the drive through lane. It would be pretty sad to watch how long it takes for customers to get their food and how many upset customers are inside your restaurant, all because they are not being serviced the way they should be. Everyone is looking around wondering what in the world is happening. People are asking for refunds because they paid for tomatoes and didn’t get any in their burgers, and now they have to come back just to get a refund. Others are paying for soda and can’t get soda, or paying for a burger and receiving the wrong one. Even the employees are openly complaining about how hard their day has been.
I have to admit, I’ve had other bad food or restaurant experiences in my life, but this has by far been the worst I’ve ever seen and all happening at once.
It’s really disappointing to see such poor service and lack of management at this location. I truly hope someone steps in and fixes things, because the Jack in the Box name can only carry this place...
Read moreI had one of the worst fast-food experiences I’ve ever had at this Jack in the Box location. My friends and I stopped by expecting a quick meal, but instead, we ended up waiting an unreasonable amount of time for our food. When we placed our order, the cashier told us it would take about 10–15 minutes. That seemed fine at first — but what followed was a 45-minute wait with no updates, no apology, and zero urgency from the staff.
During that time, multiple customers who came in after us received their orders first. We asked politely for an update around the 25-minute mark, and the employee at the counter brushed us off like it wasn’t a big deal. Eventually, when we asked again, the manager came out and was extremely rude — no apology, no explanation, just attitude. It honestly felt like we were being ignored on purpose. Watching other people get served before us while we just stood there was beyond frustrating.
What made it worse was how unprofessional the staff acted. The manager didn’t take any responsibility, and the communication between the front and kitchen was a mess. People were standing around, talking, and moving slowly even though orders were clearly piling up. By the time our food finally came out, it was barely warm. For a place that advertises “fast food,” this was anything but.
I rarely ever leave reviews like this, but this experience was unacceptable. Waiting 45 minutes for a basic order and being treated with disrespect is not something customers should have to deal with. Jack in the Box corporate seriously needs to look into this location’s management and staff training because the service here was completely unprofessional. I won’t be coming back, and I’d recommend other customers think twice before stopping at this Tinley...
Read moreWe arrived for our first experience in the drive thru last week at and were greeted with a line that wrapped the building but that's understandable as the location just opened a few weeks ago. Within 5 min, an employee approached our car and took our order on an iPad. The line moved VERY slowly and in 20 minutes, only 2 cars pulled away from the drive thru window. Then an employee walked past us dragging a black plastic traffic post and placed in behind the 3rd car behind us. A sign was then taped on it and one taped on the door of the restaurant. The employees offered no explanation to any of us in line. We sat for 40 minutes in line, with no way of exiting because the drive thru is bordered by concrete curbs on both sides. At that time an employee came to our door and asked if we ordered yet. We said yes and she walked away. One of the cars behind us violently jumped the curb to leave. This whole time employees were leaving the restaurant, going home! A man drove past on the outside of the drive thru and asked an employee "who was in charge of the restaurant?" because he said this is the 3rd time this has happened since they opened. No one answered him so he drove off. My husband had to approach two employees standing in the parking lot to ask if the people could be pulled through the line and parked on parking spots if they wanted to wait so those of us who didn't could leave. They said they would check but never came back out. We convinced the 2 remaining cars behind us to back up so we could leave. All in total we sat for 1 hour 10 minutes. I already sent a message to the website and all they did was offer us coupons for free food, no one called me. I declined. Please use caution until they get better and get some...
