I don't often give 5 stars. So this is a big thing. My friend Jan and I go to eat frequently. We found this place by accident and are glad we did. It's a store front, it's worth looking for. It's on the west side of Lagrange road in a strip mall with a noodle store and a spiral honey ham store. Jan is disabled, you will see why I mentioned this. This place is set up like that food place that starts with a P. So when you go in you go to the register to place your order. Jan has serious breathing problems, so all she can do is get in , get to a table and sit (I cleared this with her). I am telling you this because of how we are treated here. The 1st time we went we were trying to figure out how it worked and what to order. The manager, yes the manager walked up to us and explained everything to us. Nice of him. I take her order & go to the register. I am waiting in line and the manager comes up and says your friend wants to change her order, then told me what she wanted. I was surprised that a manager would do this. Normally they say hi and you never see them again. We get a number I sit down. I am fighting with a straw wrapper can't open it, the manager comes up and opens it for me. We were talking and joking while waiting for our food. It comes. Very nice looking. Tastes fabulous. I had a bacon cheese hamburger. Jan had a salad with chicken. Very good. We spent around $20. The way the staff treated us you would have thought it was far more.
It was very clear that we were appreciated.
The 2nd time we went my grandson Nolan was with us. Picky eater is his middle name. The same thing Jan sits right away, we start to figure out what we want. One of the staff walks up and says you don't have to go to the register I'll help you. Wow what a relief when you have a 6 yr old with you. I want to make this clear Orland Park has 100s of places to eat. What it doesn't have 100s of is places that treat you as well as Burger 21 does. The staff is happy, funny, thoughtful and kind. It was Christmas time, they were busy but not to busy to treat us with kindness. My grandson had a little stamp crayons and a paper kept him busy until the food came. The staff kept him laughing. Nolan is picky, his grilled cheese has to be the right color, I know believe me it's rough, but they listened to him. They did. They got his sandwich right. You can't get nicer then these people, seriously. The food is very good. I had the bacon cheese burger, Nolan had a grilled cheese with fries and a vanilla shake. The fries are really good. Jan had the salad with chicken again. Then we ordered salads to go. The one I took home lasted for 2 meals. Very good deal.
We even got a coupon for $5 off our next visit when we went in the door.
They have very interesting things on the menu. There are many kinds of salads and burger, fish & chicken sandwiches.
It's a bright well lite restaurant, & clean. They clean your table when your done as well.
I can't say it enough, the food is good, the prices are just right. The thing that no other place in Orland Park has is that kind decent staff. Give this place a try, you deserve to be...
Read moreOh my goodness, where to begin. This place has excellent tasting burgers. Went with 4 others and we all got different burgers. Hands down delicious. The menu offers Beef, Turkey, and even Seafood! You can have your burger on a Bun or for those watching carbs...I highly recommend the Lettuce bun. I absolutely enjoyed the lettuce bun I also tried the Onion strings instead of traditional French fries and everyone I was with ate the Onion strings with me! They are so good! They also offer a kids menu. You might feel like it's a little on the pricey side; but it is a whole lot better than Mc Donald's and worth every cent! So how it works is when you enter and order your food at the counter they give you a number, you take it to your table and they bring you the food to your table. On your way to your table you can wash your hands and get your beverage and I would recommend trying the sauces to put on your fries or onion strings or even dunk your burger in...so good :) They offer seating inside and for the warm weather day's they have outdoor seating also. For those that may need Wheelchair access they have truly made their food accessible to you too!! They have two restrooms one for Men & Women. I know the women's room also has a fantastic wheelchair friendly spot for you and the sink and soap are easy for you to reach!! I will definitely be back soon! I really hope you all enjoy as much as I did!! and when I go back I will take pictures for you to see. I'm...
Read moreThe various burgers and salads we tried were delicious. We experienced a clean and pleasant dining area and friendly staff on a early Friday evening.
You order/pay and then can choose to sit at table (regular or or counter height), a booth or sit at the counter. (The counter reminded me of a old-fashioned diner. ) You don't have to clean up afterward. The staff courteously takes care of that for you.
This place has come up with a lot of appetizing burger creations with many topping options. Additionally, there are more choices than just beef burgers, including, turkey, salmon, and black bean burgers, chicken, salads, gluten-free options, and even wine / craft beer.
Next to the soda fountain, you can help yourself to a large selection of unique sauces (Thai ketchup, chipotle mayo, apple cider, toasted marshmallow...) or plain old ketchup and mustard.
The stand-out food item was the vanilla shake, which includes cinnamon and sugar in the recipe. This creates a very unique flavor - the best my sons said they ever had.
Something somewhat unique is the hand-washing station out in the open. (Oddly, it reminded me of the Bath & Body Works' sinks.) I wish more places had something like this for quick clean-up.
This was visit #1. We will return to try more of the many appetizing choices.
I do not recommend this place for vegetarian/vegan meals because there are not...
