El Famous Burrito — Restaurant in Orland Township

I would have added pictures if the leftovers lasted longer, but my husband I devoured. Lol. I grew up in a Mexican neighborhood and there was an El Famoso (El famous Burrito) located in town. Sadly it shut down and didn't reopen by the time I moved out of my old neighborhood. This El Famoso (as my mother calls it) brought back all the nostalgia from my childhood. The staff was polite and the food was great. They do speak fluent English here which I know is a concern for some ppl who don't know Spanish. This is a go to if you're craving authentic Mexican food that won't break your bank. My husband and I both got tortas and shared two containers one containing rice and one with beans. We only spent 35$ and it was worth it. They have Paletas De Michoacana which I would have bought if I was so full after dinner. Ok, I give 5 stars bc I love the food. But, when there’s delivery orders PLEASE make sure the orders are accurate and you put plastic wrap around the soups so the lid doesn’t pop off. I pay extra for cheese and sour cream- they don’t ever add it! I pay money for the menudo and the lid pops off and spills all over the place. They don’t give the green sauce for the tacos or the other sides that says is included with the food. Please take better care of the orders. I know mistakes happen and I empathize with that, but this is a constant mistake that is always overlooked when we order delivery. Insanely overpriced, no idea what has happened to this place. The fact that a gallon of gas is more expensive than one of their mediocre tacos tells you all you need to know. I can go sit down at an actual restaurant, that services me and I'll eat for cheaper. Maybe the owner should drop the liquor license that is clearly overpricing their food and focus on food again. I won't be coming here again. Lol, their kids meal which is a lousy cheese quesadilla, awful fries and a soft drink the cost $10. Absolutely absurd.
