Came to spend the weekend in Orlando from about an hour away. Found this gem of a place!!! Normally when going out of town we like to find little coffee shops, not your typical chain place. Wow, is all I have to say. I tried 4 coffees the 2 times we came here. First day I had the tiramisu iced and the snickers iced as well. Second time I had the dulce de leche and s'mores, both hot. Great mixing up!!! My husband had the almond joy today, hot, which was out of this world and the cinnamon crumb cake the other day they were both great. I had the turkey pineapple the first time and the caprese this time. You can def split the sandwich between 2, or save leftovers for later. The caprese was SO flavorful!!!!!! My husband had thr Achilles this time, which was pretty bomb and the chicken salad sandwich the first day. Everything we ate and drank here was top notch. Jamie was working the first time we came, and she is a little piece of treasure. Didn't get the guy's name from today, but they are both quiet, respectful, hard working, and just nice gentle souls. I love the ambiance of this place. My family is of greek decent and I just like that cozy family feel here. Very chill. Welcoming. Relaxing. Nice and very diverse genres of music, totally my style. Can't say enough good things. Can't wait to get back!!!

I had the pleasure of checking this place out today. I wanted a place to sit down for a bit and do some work on my iPad, so I checked what coffee shops were around. The cafe has a really cozy vibe. It reminded me a bit of Central Perk, the hangout from Friends. All the couches and tables are unique, with a mix and match vintage feel. The walls are adorned with fun, local art that you can purchase (with all proceeds going directly to the artist). There was a great selection of coffee and tea. I had a really good banana bread herbal tea. Everything is served in homey mugs. I had no intention of getting a pastry, but the vibe of the place just seemed like I had to get a big blueberry muffin. I never would have gotten that at a corporate place, but the cafe really makes you want to get comfortable. Finally, the gentleman working behind the counter was super nice, and it turned out he was the owner, Juan. He told me that Because of encouragement from his daughter, he bought the place a year and a half ago. He works nights, she works days. He also said that she came up with the aesthetic for the place. I don’t usually write such long reviewers; but this place was such a pleasant surprise. I will 100% drive out of my way to sit and work here rather then go to some cookie cutter corporate place.

Oh. My. God. This place is a quaint eclectic modern little coffee shop that I wish everyone knew and respected but also don't want everyone to know it. I want to be selfish. But I can't! I have to share with everyone that this place exists. I go inside and hear subtle lounge music, and notice the wall decor was very eclectic. Chairs and sofas of different shapes, colors and sizes brought to me a sense of comfort. I can relax here. The menu was easy to understand and provided detailed description of each coffee and/or platter. They make everything on the spot so please if you are in a hurry do not come here and ruin the relax mood with your anger and urgency. IT IS MADE FRESH! The baristas are people so please don't be rude to them. They were so polite! Ugh, sorry I cannot help but defend them like a big sister. Hahaha Anywhodledoodlepoodle, I noticed the coffee they serve comes in different variations of coffee cups, which adds a colorful aesthetic to the place. I ordered the crĂȘme brulee chai latte. I took a sip and it was SO DELICIOUS!!! NOT TOO SWEET NOT TOO BITTER. IT WAS PERFECT! WHY AM I YELLIIING?! My point is that it was made with love. I will go there again!

New Review as of July 2nd, 2021: The ownership has changed. And I feel like the new owner isn’t very experienced. Her staff isn’t very professional nor are they friendly. Let’s talk about the Staff, they’re young kids who don’t take their jobs seriously or take good care of their guests. I took a couple of my colleagues there for work and we there for about 2hrs or so and not only they didn’t bother to grab our empty cups or dishes they didn’t even clean up the bar area that was covered with dirty dishes. Instead, they were just behind the bar talking with their friends. And to top it off we noticed one of their female employees was smoking vape and blowing her smoke directly in the direction of the pastries.

The coffee isn’t as good as It used to be. I loved the coffee at Achiellies, heck I’d die for their coffee but lately, their lattes feel watered down. Not sure if their barista knows how to make proper latte drinks.

I was told that they were having issues with their refrigerator and that’s why their soft beverage refrigerators are empty. But that shouldn’t be an excuse to put water or other boxes down by the refrigerator in a massy manor when it’s visible to all the customers who have to use the restrooms.

Food is still the same! Still, great tasting sandwiches but one thing I’d say is that since the kitchen is open I have noticed that one of their prep people doesn’t use gloves.

And lastly, if you want to go there for work and meet people make sure your laptop is fully charged. Most of their wall outlets are filled with their new lights or other electronics and not enough available for their customers.

This review is to help the new owner to see what’s going on from her customer's point of view and correct them. This is still one of my top go-to coffee shops and as always recommend this place to anyone who hasn’t been to check it out.

Congratulations and wishing the new owner the best.

My former 5-star review: This is one of the best coffee shops in Orlando. The ambiance feels very homey with all the art decorations and their coffee drinks and foods are very well portioned and feel fresh and consistent. I highly recommend this...

The staff wasn’t particularly friendly during my visit. I didn’t have high expectations, but I was surprised by the lack of basic courtesy. When I asked about the ingredients in my smoothie, it was automatically assumed I was referring to added sugars. In reality, I just wanted to know what was actually in the drink.

Update: After the owner read my review, he approached me in the cafĂ© while I was working to discuss it. I calmly explained the situation, but instead of addressing my concerns directly, he chose to involve another customer—apparently a regular—to give their opinion. When I politely declined to involve others, saying this was my personal experience, he escalated the conversation and became disrespectful.

Even his daughter expressed disappointment, saying she expected him to handle it more respectfully. Compared to the previous café that occupied this space, this was a disappointing experience. Proceed with caution.

I want to clarify that during my interaction with Juan L. Lluberes, I remained calm, respectful, and direct. I did not hit anything, raise my voice, or act in a sarcastic or aggressive manner. At no point did I say I didn’t want to explain myself — I was more than willing to clarify my review and share my experience.

What I did express was that I didn’t feel it was appropriate to involve other customers in a personal conversation about my review. I stated clearly that the feedback I left was my opinion based on my visit, and I stood by that respectfully.

Any tension or disrespect during the exchange did not come from me. In fact, both Juan and his daughter displayed more emotionally charged behavior than I did. I maintained a composed and measured tone throughout, and I regret that the situation was handled in a confrontational way by...

I live nearby, and came in with two friends to grab a quick bite to eat before heading to an Orlando Pride soccer game that evening. We arrived around 4:00 to a mostly empty cafe, with the game not until 7:00 we figured we had plenty of time.

Well we were wrong, because after paying (and leaving a sizable tip, before receiving service - my mistake!) we waited over an hour outside. Eventually one of us got up to ask for the status, still plenty of time. The cook spoke to us and said she would start on it now and we could expect it in about 15 minutes. Ok, a bit odd to have waited over an hour to even start cooking but we are not in a rush.

Fast forward another hour. It's now after 6pm and we have to drive and park at the stadium to make the game. I ask again - this time I get a response, the food will be out in 5 minutes. Ok - we'll take it to go then. Another 20 minutes goes by - and at this point we are going to be late to the game and won't even get to eat the food (no outside food allowed at the game). So I ask for a refund since we aren't getting our food anyway. They start to haggle with me - and the cook comes running out with two styrofoam containers with some lettuce and bits of chicken thrown in (The order was a chicken salad sandwich). They refuse a full refund, and give me back in cash (I paid with a card) the cost of one entree (out of 3) and none of the tip back.

At this point I don't have time to argue so we leave and rush to the game.

The part I will never forget though: The cook saying "well, this isn't a fast food restaurant" - after over 2.5 hours of waiting for a french dip and a chicken salad sandwich.

What a slap in the face. You can bet we'll...
