This is a great, no frills spot that serves up great sandwiches. It’s been on my list to try for a while, but I hadn’t had a day where I could get there during their business hours. I’m glad I finally got the opportunity. The shop is smaller but there’s still a good amount of seating. Everyone working was super friendly. Mike, the owner and Art’s son, introduced himself and mentioned that the business is celebrating their 47th anniversary which is amazing. He was very kind and personable.
I ordered a Cuban and my boyfriend tried a cheesesteak. The prices are great and the sandwiches are large. I enjoyed the Cuban very much. It was perfectly pressed and not greasy like some I’ve had in other places. My boyfriend thought the cheesesteak was one of the best ones he’s had in town. He also got an order of fries and I sampled a few. They were very fresh and crispy. I can tell this is a place that values serving up good food and offering good service. I’ll happily go back when I have another...
Read more$16 and change for a cheesteak, fries, and fountain soda is a bit too much to pay for lunch for only 1 person. The cheesteak was bland and did not promise the flavor and praise of calling it the best cheesteak in Orlando. I have had better elsewhere locally. The fries were cooked to order but extremely soggy and bland. I can't believe I paid an extra $0.30 to add seasoning to the fries, which is something that should not be charged. The fountain soda also disappointing tasted terrible, I think Art's needs to clean their soda lines. Atmosphere is old, outdated, and gross. I guess that is just the "charm" of this place, but you can tell it is definitely not clean and not cleaned on a regular basis. The service is probably the only saving grace here. Very friendly and courteous staff. For a sandwich shop I would go elsewhere for better quality and price. I had high hopes for this place and left very...
Read moreI love the mom & pop shop feel. Definitely looks like they've been around for a while. I ordered the cheese steak everyone was talking about. It was alright. Not bad for the price. I'm a Philadelphia native though, so I scrutinize cheese steaks pretty closely. I will say that it was the first time I had banana peppers on my cheese steak. And I must admit, I enjoyed it!
The fries were very delicious!
The staff seemed very friendly and welcoming. They greeted us as soon as we stepped in line. The food was ready very quickly as well.
If there was anything I'd suggest to add- some kind of soft music playing in the background. I could even see an old school boom box next to the sizzling grill boosting some classic rock.
I'd definitely come back and visit again and try out something else on their ample menu.
