Bake My Day — Restaurant in Orlando

Seen this little cute shop on our way out the park today 3/30 around 4:14 pm, and decided to stop in.Very clean establishment. There was a woman & her young daughter ahead of us being waited on asking about a gift card or something to that effect. All in all they didn’t make a purchase. My family was next a small party of 3, only other customers in the shop at this point. We stepped up to the counter. The server and I’m guessing the manager started to have a conversation. No biggie we werent ready anyway. My daughter picked what she wanted myself not too into sweets. We waited, I counted to myself because I truly felt something was off, I noticed we weren’t greeted and this random conversation randomly started when we walked over to the sweets case. The server literally walked away when we approached. I gave the server and the manager some time to see if they would acknowledge us and nope nothing. Not even an eye bat. I kindly said to my child and sister we are leaving I wouldn’t dare attempt to spend money in a place where 1 we weren’t acknowledged and they were given the benefit of the doubt. Check the cameras to see this can’t be made up, so this doesn’t happen to another family. Also you never know who you are being rude to this was not ok. I spent $60 on different cake items. All were thrown away and inedible. The cakes are dense and heavy. The frosting tasted gross. Nobody in our family could handle more than one bite of any item. The peanut butter and jelly purple evil minion cake pop tasted gross with a strong aftertaste similar to peppermint with a burning sensation. Absolutely inedible. Multiple people tried the different items we got like the evil minion s’more. The minion cupcake. The yellow minion cake pop.

The shop is cute, great merchandise, the bulk candy was great but those “baked goods” are absolutely disgusting, inedible and should not be served to the public. For nearly $10 an item, you’d think they’d taste good. This is a great opportunity sorely missed. They’re cute but taste bad. Make a light and fluffy cake with major changes to the decorating/icing TASTE. It’s a cute shop. But those cakes are disgusting. I saw corporate workers browsing universal checking on their park. It’s a great park. It’s my first time visiting and I like it much better than Busch Gardens and Sea World for a variety of reasons. I still enjoy both. But for crying out loud please taste your product and make major changes because it taste like...

As much as I want to love Bake My Day, it is going to be a hard pass. The staff looked so tired and did not want to be working there at all. It was difficult to look at the staff and not feel pressured to buy so that they can get it over with. Worse than the staff is the baked goods. They nailed the theming, but all the baked goods they had and still having on the shelves need serious improvements. First of all, no one in the world wants to taste icing sugar flakes in their cake icing. Most importantly, it has more sugar than it needs. Texture of a good cake or cupcake needs to be light and airy with moderately sweet icing. The kind of desserts they wouldn't mind having a second serving.
