Realistically, my rating is more like a 4.5 but I’m rounding up due to the unfairness of this restaurant being rated lower than the other City Walk Restaurants. I’ve certainly had worse meals at City Walk. The staff here is decently attentive depending on the person. We tried to call ahead of time to find out if they would take a Universal food card, but they didn’t answer the phone. We were trying to save ourselves a walk if they didn’t. However, once we got there, the (I think) manager was willing to run the card to the back and make sure it worked and even checked the balance for us. If you have a food card, they will work here. The seating staff wasn’t super nice, but our waiter was great and talkative. The beer selection was huge and had an option for everyone. The regular menu wasn’t huge, but I assume if you’re heading to a sports grill, you’re probably not expecting a huge selection outside of burgers and wings. To be fair, though, there are a LOT of burgers to choose from. I actually dabbled with the idea of getting a Thai dish, but I have never had good Thai at a theme park. So, everyone at the table ended up with burgers. Was my burger the best burger I’ve ever had? No, but it was good. The burger was cooked with the right amount of pink, the toppings melded together well, and the sauce was delicious. I could barely fit my mouth around the whole thing. The fries were so good and crispy. And all this for about the same amount that you would pay for bad food in the park. One last thing, if you are hungry, get a pot pie. When they say “pie” they are not joking. It’s enormous. It comes out in a straight up whole pie pan. We watched it get walked to another table in amazement. The guy who had ordered it started taking pictures with it like he had caught a really big fish.

Our family of six recently visited NBC Sports Grill & Brew at Universal CityWalk, and it was a great experience overall. With two adults and four kids, we were excited to find a spot with a lively atmosphere that everyone enjoyed. However, as it’s a very popular place, I’d recommend making reservations ahead of time—wait times can be long, both for seating and for food. After a full day of walking around the parks, the energetic vibe and big screens showing live games were a perfect way to unwind and entertain the kids. It felt great to relax, watch the games, and soak up the excitement while we waited. The decor is sports-themed but comfortable, with good views of the TVs from most tables. The menu has options for everyone. My husband and I loved the burgers and wings—both had great flavor and came in large portions. The kids enjoyed their sliders and chicken tenders, and the food presentation was fun. We did experience a bit of a wait for our food, but once it arrived, everyone was happy. The service was friendly, though a bit slow due to how busy it was, but our server was attentive and kept the drinks refilled. The staff was patient with our kids and made the experience enjoyable despite the wait times. Overall, NBC Sports Grill & Brew is a fun spot for families who want to take a break, watch some games, and enjoy good food in a bustling atmosphere. It’s definitely worth checking out—just be prepared for a bit of a wait, especially if you’re there during peak hours.

Please, just go next door and get the Texas donut from Voodoo. I will never come back to this place, and I come to City Walk all the time. When we first got to our table the floor had piles of trash and the seats were dirty. The server was a nice guy, but super slow on followup, especially after we got our food. When gratuity is automatically charged, like it was in this case, the server did not fulfill his duty. It is also frustrating to see, based on other written reviews here, that not every other customer was automatically charged gratuity, whereas we were. We did not have a large party, this feels a bit targeted. Jose knows he was slow with his service. He disappeared for extreme amounts of time only to show up and walk on by. The bbq was terribly dry despite the server praising it and recommending it. My burger was overcooked tremendously too. They ask how you would like it cooked only to bring it charbroiled. We sat by the fire grill where you can see the cooks just leaving food on the fire for extended periods of time. That said, I would say stay away from anything with grilled chicken. The pieces i saw on the grill on fire looked like they were done cooking two days ago, yet still being cooked. The bbq was also very bland, I mean damn. You guys also need to get rid of both the bbq sauces you have and try again; they are both variations of ketchup. The $ 17 cocktail we had was unbalanced and no good. Usually I try to avoid going to places at tourist spots because it feels like they don't try to keep their food consistent or good because they have such a high turnover of customers they don't need to rely on repeat business. This place is no different. Also, if you are going to serve bbq, you need to take notes from the people who do it best. There is a way to keep your meat tender and intact through the whole day. I can tell you that having such lean cuts of brisket and pulled pork is not the way. You should be cooking with plenty of fat and let the customer takeaway the amount they don't want instead of what you are doing or just take it off the menu. Train your cooks to know when the food is not servable. A good cook would take one look at it and say stop selling the bbq, it's no good. Forget your food cost, customer cost is much higher of a loss. One positive, the wings were good. If you are starving, you might just be hungry enough to enjoy your food, but avoid the bbq at all costs. If you guys need a consultation on how to keep your food consistent and full of flavor, hit me up. If I was the manager or owner I would be embarrassed. You should have managers walking around checking all the tables and see who still has a plate full of food, not touching it. You should also train your servers and food runners to pay attention to these things and work as a team to keep everyone happy. It's super easy to spot the unhappy table as they are usually all looking in the same direction wondering where their server is. You had dozens of people walking by ignoring our obvious issue. You need to foster a team of employees, not a congregation of employees. I write all this to say that you could be great, but you gotta set the standard. I digress.

Seemed like an awesome grill to catch the game at. Sunday Night Football ready to have a good time. Was seated quickly and had to wait a while before being asked for our drink order. Decided simple Coke products.. .waited... when the waitress came with our drinks she asked if we were ready to order my wife asked for an order of pickle poppers which unfortunately they were "out" should have stopped there if we knew that that was a sign of things to come.... we continued our order that included our entrees as well..while waiting for the appetizer I drank my glass of coke the staff brought us our spinach and artichoke dip... I have had spinach and artichoke dip numerous times from numerous places this was definitely more like a pesto no cheese just a green mess of spinach and oil.. the pita chips were awesome the dip was horrible. So then we waited again no drink refill. They brought our food about 30+ min... no refill... when the entrees came my wife ordered steak which was "charred " on the outside to the equivalent of a charcoal briquette now mind you my wife usually wants me to burn the food at home so it's charred but even she was disappointed. On her first bite a burnt piece gouged her gum.. the garlic butter on the steak was frozen and asparagus was flavorless...my order was the smoke house stack.. the brisket was burnt to the point that it was hard and burnt is not the word I could use to deal it it was black. The burger had no flavor and the pulled pork was minimal. Def a disappointment. The waitress came by once asked if we needed anything noticed my empty glass and stated oh let me get you some more drink and my wife requested steak sauce...I usually eat the meal out of being raised that way but unfortunately I walked away with barely taking a bite. The worst part was I couldn't wash it down with the refill I was still waiting for. when she returned she placed the drinks and steak sauce quickly on our table and walked off. Mind you my wife noticed other wait staff engaging with their customers about rides and where to go and such and it wasn't overly busy. My wife went to the host and asked for our bill which the waitress quickly showed up with she asked if we needed any boxes being that most of the meal was still on the table.. I gave her my card and paid. When she returned with the receipt she stated thank you for our patience and walked off never once questioning why we were leaving with the food on our table.. truly disappointed

We decided to visit due to the fact that our premium pass gave us an extra 25% off. We ventured in about 1pm and gave my name/cell number to the hostess who said it would be about a 20 minute wait. 10 minutes later I recieved a text that our table was ready! The place was quite packed as tons of people were there to watch some Sunday football. I was really impressed with the sheer size of the restaurant though, as there are 2 floors with bars on each. Annoyingly though, the restrooms are located on the top floor. Our server was friendly and promptly took our drink and food order. We ordered the 8 traditional fried garlic parm wings, the Wisconsin fried cheese curds, a swiss mushroom burger, and the Cobb salad. We waited about 25 minutes before I started to notice that our apps were taking a while to come out, and low and behold a food runner brought our main entrees out. I complained that we never recieved our apps and she went to go check. Our main server then came and profusely apologized, but clearly something happened either with the kitchen or her own mishap because we basically had to wait all over for the apps to be cooked. Anyways, the apps eventually did arrive and we therefore had no room on our tight 2-person high top table. The wings were nothing to write home about - there was a sliver of parmesan cheese on just one of the wings. Also, 1 drummette and 7 wings... The carrots and celery included with the wings were also really dry, old, and shriveled up. The Wisconsin cheese curds were just okay. The marinara dipping sauce had too much of a sweet tang for me. The mushroom swiss burger wasn't too bad. Cooked to a medium rare that retained its juiciness. The cobb salad though, was HUGE and actually quite delicious! I asked for dressing on the side as to not have it drenched all over. I was a big fan of the smoked bacon crumbles - you could really taste the smoked flavor. The cobb salad I would probably come back for again but overall, I think they need to up their service. Will probably explore other dining options for drinks and food next time. Also, all the menus are pretty gross. Food stains and stickiness left over from previous patrons...

Hmm. First thing-we we’re told a table for 3 would be ready in about 30-40 minutes, but got a funny look when we said we’d wait. Ok not sure why but I’ll press on. Phone # was taken to send a text when the table was ready. More than an HOUR later we received a text that our table was ready. Arrived at the podium and the hostess who was very friendly and charming walked over to the guy at the podium Joel and asked where we were to be seated. He looked over at us and stared with an odd evaluating look then very quietly told her where to seat us. She said “Are you sure?”. He said yes and she looked upset. She walked over to us and preceded to take is past a multitude of empty tables(I counted at least 7) and said “If you don’t like where I’m seating you , let me know, I’ll understand.” They tried to seat us all the way in the back by the restrooms at a counter where food was being prepared by the kitchen and where no one else was seated or eating. Empty in other words. We said no this isn’t going to work at all and asked to be seated outside like we’d originally asked. She’d also asked the host Joel. So…I ordered calamari, the steakhouse burger and Parmesan fries. After 1 hour of waiting our burgers came out. No fries or calamari and cold food. Calamari never did make its way to the table and when I did receive my Parmesan fries they were cold. At least the calamari was taken off when I said never mind since they were to be eaten as an appetizer when we were starving. Unfortunately, I got some very racist vibes from this experience for multiple reasons and don’t plan on ever returning. I did notice a few other tables with black families also sitting near restrooms and the kitchen. Take from it what you want.
