The ride isn't that good, compared to what it used to be (Shrek 4-D) The line is kind of confusing. There's someone waiting at the end of the first part of the line to direct when you go to the next line. That second line is basically a trust system, because everyone has to get into a line behind each other with no railing or anything keeping people in formation for a part of the second line. You can't even really look at all the decor that's in that part, since either the line moves too fast, or you're by yourself/with a young child who will wonder out of place and look around. (If that happens, you'd hope the person behind you is nice/paying attention to who's in front, since they might not let you back in.) The guns are hard to sync to phone sometimes. For those who don't know, you can sync your gun to your phone and see how many points you've collected over playing the game times. You can earn in game prizes, titles, etc... Anyways, the phone rarely syncs to the gun (and I have a perfectly fine android thank you very much) and a couple times it synced to the wrong gun somehow. It's very difficult to see where you're aiming. Since there's about 15-30 pointers at the screens, you can barely tell which one is yours. If you point at some of the smaller screens, you can see which pointer is yours but finding it among other pointers in near impossible. The conveyor belt stops often. I'm not sure why this is, but almost every time when I ride the ride, the belt stops moving. And I'm sure it's pure coincidence, but I'll add here that almost every time it has been in the first room. This also has to do with the conveyor belt, but people are too close to each other. I've accidentally been hit/got hit/near miss someone with the guns because we're too close to each other. It also doesn't help that the guns are so long they require both hands to hold, got...

Read moreI love the goofiness of the minions, but this "ride" leaves much to be desired. You stand on a moving side walk with a big bulky gun and shoot at screens as it moves you through rooms while you stand on a dot that isn't spaced well enough for you to not disturb people in front of and behind you.
For me, this ride is as much of a skip as Fast and Furious. You go here for reprieve from the heat and that's all. Even linking the gun to your phone is convoluted, it has never worked for me and I am tech savvy.
When this ride was announced I had many amazing thoughts, then when I saw what it was I couldn't believe this was the "ride". I don't even know that it's kid friendly because of the weight of the gun, how difficult it is to continuously shoot, and you stand the whole time.
I question people who love this ride. The minion animations are great, but I feel this execution is severely lacking. I am actually already looking forward to this rides replacement or severe...
