China Star — Restaurant in Orlando

I come here all the time. Normally my boyfriend orders the food and I stay in the car but today I decided to go in myself. I see a family going in and out the restaurant but I don’t think much of it. I go to order my food, The lady takes my order and doesn’t even look at me the whole time (once again that didn’t bother me) I told her Im paying through Apple Pay instead of card and I pay she gives me no receipt and continues taking phone calls so I just walk away awkwardly and wait outside in my car for my food. After sometime i decide to go inside and see if my food is ready. She tells me nothing so I sit and wait. Out of no where the family waiting outside comes inside and starts telling me that the owner told them I used their card to buy my food. I look at the owner and tell her, you saw me use Apple Pay and she walks away and says she doesn’t know. My boyfriend comes in (who orders regularly here) and then she goes “no I know them they didn’t steal it” this was the most unprofessional moment I have ever seen. If my boyfriend wasn’t there she was going to sit there and let me get harassed. This is, hands down, the best New York Chinese Restaurant in all of Orlando. When you walk in, you immediately get the sense of a true culinary delight; majestic mountain views wallpapered on the walls, and pictures of amazing Number 8 and Number 15 above the counter. Served in styrofoam and Chinese boxes, and ready in 10-15 minute. Always the same great quality, best pork fried rice and orange chicken in town. It is best to place your order and walk next door to Roque Pub to get a beer while you wait; if you have CraftTap, it’s better to get your first beer before placing your order. If you enjoy the Hot & Sour soup, don’t forget the Hot Chili Oil; but you have to ask for it by name. We just left Orlando for career advancement, and I’ve been searching for a new place just like this with no success. Truly a hidden gem among the many eatery choices. I ordered General Tso Combination Plate- I specifically asked "clearly" for Extra General Tso Sauce- would have been happy to pay extra to get it. And it could not have been more dry!! Horrible and a Chinese rest. is only as good as the ingredients and the sauce to me is everything! I asked for Duck Sauce- and they handed me a tube of duck sauce like it was Ketchup! Grose!!
