My first time and last time ever in this restaurant. I’ve never ate at this restaurant before and wanted to try it. My first time experience was not good. I walked in and the young black male with dreads and hat, he just looked up at me and put his head down. He didn’t say one thing to me. I stood there for a good 4-5 mins, then he walked in the back, then a heavy set guy walked to the register with his head down low and said hey. I mean where is the customer service from these people. No interaction with me atleast at all. This is truly, truly strange and weird. I should’ve just walked out because who wants to eat at from a place like this anyway. That negative energy will transfer and I’m pretty positive person. Anyhow, I sat and waited on my food and another woman walked in. Much younger and he spoke to her. So what’s so special about her that he spoke and greeted her when she walked in. He even told the caucasian woman who waited on her food to have a good night.
I do know that most blacks has a tendency of being unkind and racist towards their own. It didn’t bother me much, but to be working for the public and not acknowledge someone when they walk in the door screams poor people skills, poor customer service skills.
I want to know why firehouse would hire someone like this. Is beyond me. When he handed me my sandwich he just put the bag with a lot of grease on the counter, stood back and said “your sandwich is ready”, then he walked off. That bag was saturated with grease on it. Y’all need to do better with your employees. This guy didn’t have on a hairnet, he probably didn’t have on any gloves making my food. His hair was all down in his face he couldn’t even see me and had the nerve to have on a hat. Sagging pants. I can’t believe what they have representing this place. I should’ve recorded him and put it on the internet. This experience was Ridiculous! I paid $12 bucks and the sandwich was a small sandwich, but I ordered a medium sandwich. Read moreFirehouse is my favorite subs place, but the experience that I had last night (12/15) between 7:18pm and 7:28pm was something else (please check the camera to verify if I’m lying). When I arrived to the place (empty of customers), an employee under the name of Luis (super nice guy with great customer service) helped me with the order…until here and with him, all was great…5 stars to him! But then 2 situations happened, the first one was that it took 10 minutes to prepare a sandwich because the lady preparing the sub, I believe her name is Nataly or Natalia was having a nice chat with a friend. They talked about everything and my sandwich on hold. Luis helped her cutting the bread like to start the process ,but she was more into the conversation with this friend until he got his sandwich and left.
The second situation is related to cleanliness and hygiene which in a restaurant is something very important to me. In the video you can see this friend basically having this conversation with Nataly closer to the containers where you put the subs and for him was a good idea to touch them (check the video, please). I think you don’t want to eat something from a container where a strange person basically was playing and touching them, I think is something gross. When I saw that, I talked to Luis and requested him a different container and he found me a new one.
I got my food at 7:28pm and of course the quality wasn’t the best, because you can’t create something good when you don’t pay attention to the process because you have a distraction, we are not robot, we are humans, I understand that, but please has more respect to the customers, because if I want to buy something cheap and made with not the best quality I just go Wawa or 7-11.

One of my favorite restaurants and this one is terrible, the staff did not care to help me with the reward promotion I had so they had 4 people place their order ahead of me instead of helping, Then I finally got my order and the Kings Hawaiian looked like it had been stepped on it had lines in the top and it wasn't grill lines, and the engineer had tomatoe sauce on the outside of the bread and enough mayonnaise to drown me. Hire some people with better attitudes, and avoid this place for the time being. One guy was nice enough to fix the order that they made me place on the phone in order to get the promotion because the app now wanted me to pick it up tomorrow morning without any warning.
