High Tide Harry's Reel Seafood caught our attention due to its numerous positive local reviews, prompting our decision to dine there. We arrived at the establishment just a few minutes before 11 a.m., making us their inaugural patrons for the day.
Service: The staff members exhibited exceptional friendliness and professionalism, providing us with exemplary service throughout our visit.
Ambience: High Tide Harry's offers a pleasing ambiance with a combination of booths and tables. The spacious interior and high ceilings contribute to a comfortable dining atmosphere. While we experienced the restaurant during lunchtime, we could envision a lively ambiance during evening hours.
Culinary Experience: Our gastronomic journey commenced with a dozen impeccably fresh, sweet, and generously-sized oysters. Though slightly smaller than their New Orleans counterparts, they delivered a delectable taste. Our meal progressed with the indulgence of a Soft-shell Crab, a Colossal Blue Crab, a Seafood Gumbo, and a Crab Stuffed Avocado. The Seafood Gumbo stood out with its delightful medley of flavors and an abundance of well-prepared seafood. Those familiar with the iconic Gumbo of Louisiana will appreciate the comparable quality offered here. The Soft-shell Crab evoked fond memories of our experience at Two Mile Crab House in New Jersey, showcasing its exceptional preparation. The Colossal Blue Crab, true to its name, boasted a substantial size and a succulent meaty texture. Additionally, the Crab Stuffed Avocado showcased a fragrant and filling combination of flavors.
Our final bill, which included tax and gratuity, amounted to $96. Considering the outstanding quality of the cuisine and the reasonable pricing, we confidently bestow High Tide Harry's Reel Seafood with a perfect rating...
Read moreHigh Tide Harry’s is one of the best seafood restaurants in Orlando. My family and I come here quite often. We’ve tried many items on their menu, including raw oysters, oysters Rockefeller, raw clams, frog legs, cheese sticks, hot blue crab dip, shrimp tacos, crab stuffed fillets, shrimp and scallop combo, and captain’s seafood combo.
They have some of the best raw oysters in Orlando. They are nice and briny, and clean. I tried raw clams for the first time there, and I didn’t like them. My husband said they were good. I guess I just don’t like the taste of raw clams. The frog legs are juicy and delicious. They tasted like chicken wings. The cheese sticks were extremely cheesy, and weren’t over breaded. The hot blue crab dip was delicious. I got the shrimp tacos blackened. The shrimp was small, but there was so much. They come with a garlic aioli, cheese, and salsa, and they were delicious. Some of the best tacos in Orlando. The crab stuffed fillets were very good, they just need to spread the crab more over the fillets. The crab was mostly in the center of the fillets. We got both of their shrimp and scallop combo, and captain’s seafood combo blackened. Their scallops are cooked perfectly, and not sandy. Both the shrimp and scallops are delicious blackened. The fish fillets could always be more blackened because they have a smaller surface area, so it’s not as strong as it is on shrimp and scallops. Their crab cakes are also good. Their mashed potatoes are some of the best I’ve ever had. They are buttery, smooth, and bursting with flavor.
The service is always good. Chris is a great server. They also have a rewards program, and I keep forgetting to show my rewards info to them. They have daily specials, including happy hour Tuesday-Sunday...
Read moreDO NOT EAT HERE!!! The manager Brandon is utterly incompetent and rude and selfish. I called to report under cooked and mushy seafood crabs that I received. And being pregnant I was terrified to say the least. Also to believe this somehow could affect my unborn child. The staff Kevin had claimed he wrote my complaint down and would pass it on to the manager Brandon who was to busy at the time talk to me on the phone that same night. I then called back the next day looking to speak with the manager Brandon once again about the uncooked crabs I end up speaking with a guy by the name of Frank who claims he would pass my information to Brandon who was to busy again to speak to me. On the third day after I called the manager Brandon he finally called me back. Immediately when I answered the phone he did not apologize or anything. He just directly stated to me that he TOLD ME I AM NOT GETTING A REFUND without hearing my side of the story. I explain to the manager Brandon that I have been calling going on three days now trying to reach him about the food and haven’t had any luck with reaching him. By then I had disposed of the crabs because of the horrible smell they had accumulated in My Home after days of waiting for Brandon to call me back. He then order me a PREGNANT WOMAN to dig in garbage and gather the seafoods crabs out dumpster and bring the crabs back into the restaurant so he may examine them before he may determine if I was eligible for a refund. I never in my life been so mistreated as a customer and told go dig trash out the garbage being a pregnant woman. Brandon is a sick individual that needs help. If you are PREGNANT STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT IM...
