Our dinner reservation at June was phenomenal! We had a 6pm reservation on the patio and the weather was perfect for a date night outside. The patio isn’t too crowded (the tables are properly spaced apart from each other in my opinion), the music wasn’t too loud, and they had a nice playlist playing too. Despite sitting outside and farther away from the bar/kitchen, the staff was incredibly attentive to us and made sure we were well taken care of.

Our waitress, Penelope, was amazing! She was very knowledgeable of the menu, helped us to understand how ordering our food works since it was our first time, and she gave incredible recommendations for food and drinks. She checked in on us a perfect amount of times - not too much or too little. When it came to closing our check, she showed us the screen on her device and had us make sure everything looked correct before we were charged which I really appreciated considering how they use devices vs printed checks.

We ordered the Crudo Tuna, Avocado and Sauces, the Wagyu Beef Tostadas, and the Coconut Cake. All of these items were perfect for sharing and we didn’t feel like we overate after finishing everything between the two of us.

The Crudo Tuna was perfectly balanced. We ate it like we would for Nigiri Sushi, all in one bite, and the flavor profile was amazing! Would highly recommend.

The Avocado and Sauces was the most filling part. If we had shared it between 3 or 4 people total we probably would’ve had more room to try more items on the menu, which isn’t a bad thing, but I would note the size of it before you order. Each of the sauces it comes with have a different spiciness level and taste. They are all unique and we enjoyed each of them!

The Wagyu Beef Tostadas were fantastic. I would compare it to Carpaccio for the texture/consistency. I’m looking forward to trying the other tostada options when we come back again!

The Coconut Cake was good. My partner enjoyed it more than I did, but I still think it was good overall! The coconut flakes are massive and I’ll admit that the dish comes across like it’s simply crumbled/sliced pound cake with sauce and toppings added on top. We kinda wish the cake had been a bit more moist, but it was still good overall! We will definitely be trying their other desserts next time to see how they compare.

Lastly, the drinks were good overall, but we are going to explore some of the signature cocktails for our next visit vs adding a shot of tequila to the Frescas options. We are curious to try more complex flavors compared to what we ordered.

We very much look forward to coming back to June for dinner sometime! Note that with tip and tax included, you will likely spend between $55-$70 per person at a minimum at this location, but the quality of the food and service is worth it...

I recently dined at June, a new upscale restaurant, and while the atmosphere was beautiful and vibrant, the experience was a bit mixed.

The restaurant itself has great vibes — stylish, lively, and still bustling even at our late 8:45 PM reservation. It was on the noisy side, but not in a bad way, more like an energetic crowd.

Unfortunately, the menu left us disappointed. Out of the five entrées available, the hanger steak was already sold out when we sat down, and by the time we ordered, the short rib was also gone. Four of us had been looking forward to it, so that was frustrating. We settled on the chicken, which was tender and had a nice texture, but the flavor didn’t stand out. I found myself still craving a hearty burger afterward.

The avocado and salsa platter was decent, though heavy on cilantro — which isn’t for everyone. The chips, however, were the highlight of the meal: crisp, fresh, and genuinely delicious. Still, they didn’t quite justify the price tag.

Drinks were another sore spot. We were upcharged $5 just to swap tequila for vodka, which meant cocktails came out to $20 each — a bit steep for what we received.

Service was fine but on the slower side, which added to the overall sense that the evening didn’t quite match the upscale expectations.

Overall, June shines in atmosphere and presentation, but between limited entrée availability, uneven flavors, and pricey drinks, I left underwhelmed. It has potential, but for now, it feels more like a spot for small plates and drinks than a...

I recently visited June, an elevated Mexican restaurant in Orlando, and while the presentation and atmosphere were beautiful, the food didn’t quite live up to the hype or the price point. We started with the guacamole, which looked stunning but didn’t quite hit the mark for me. It was served with olive oil in the center, an unusual touch that I didn’t love, and at $14–15, plus an $8 upcharge for additional sauces like mole and tomatillo, it felt a little excessive. The flavors just weren’t bold or memorable enough to justify a $23 appetizer. The cornbread was a pleasant surprise, warm, comforting, and paired with a light cream spread that I really enjoyed. My Wagyu tostada was also quite good flavorful and rich, though a bit on the salty side. I’d give it a solid 9/10. The creamy corn was tasty as well, but not particularly standout. For my main, I ordered the short rib ($68). The portion was generous, which I appreciated, but the meat was a bit too fatty and tender for my taste. The accompanying sauce had a muted sweetness that didn’t add much depth — if the sauce had been more flavorful this dish could’ve been incredible. Now, the drinks were definitely the stars of the night. The pineapple gin cocktail was absolutely delicious, refreshing and well-balanced and the watermelon margarita is something I’d honestly come back for on its own. If anything, I’d return to June just for the drinks and...
