So for me and my pets it was a cool place to go late night. My pets 2 are small and the other is big. Our last visit we heard a loud noise… Hooooo twice thank god we grabbed our smaller dogs because a HUGE owl swooped down and sat on the gate unbothered. It waited until my biggest pet moved out the way, then came out! This is the third time I have seen this Owl. It finally showed me that it is capable of being aggressive to small pets! It’s Megaaaa huge grayish in color and doesn’t seem to be afraid of people. This guy was walking by it not knowing it was there and it didn’t move. Dude moved out to the street startled. Read moreCute open park area with benches, a small field, and shade. There are fewer homeless on average than surrounding parks--those that are occasionally there don't seem to panhandle. It's low foot traffic so they're just there chilling.
The dog park area is small but worth going if you live nearby. About a quarter acre, mostly grass and fully enclosed with black rod iron. No other dog parks compare within walking distance of the Eola Lake area. Clean and has one washing station outside of the gate. Read morePark was recently closed for new lawn to be installed, doesn’t seem as this happened. Existing grass is infrequently cut or maintained. Garbages rarely cleaned resulting with a strong smell. After rain huge mud area. Water fountain flows so low that it collects so much dirt while flowing.
Bigger parks are better taken care of. Never seen a dog park this poorly maintained, seems as if whoever is responsible and/or in charge just doesn’t care about people or dogs.
