Extremely disappointed in the food service. Was left on hold several times when attempting to order poolside service. Eventually, I got through and I ordered two beers for the pool, however, I had to redirect them back to the room after a more than 30 minute wait. We got too cold because the sun went down. When the beers came, they were incorrect. I was told to call again and ask for the correct beers and that they would recharge me. I was charged twice, even after returning the unopened and incorrectly delivered product.
Later that evening, I wanted to work on my laptop at the Lobby Bar, however, they did not serve draught beer. I was redirected to the McCoy bar. An hour before posted closing hours, I was asked to leave because they had to shut the bar down. Disappointed, I relocated to the workstations near the concierge desk. I went back to the Lobby Bar to order a canned beer, however, I was told they can't serve me because I wasn't in the correct area. At this point, I was willing to relocate to within the Lobby Bar area, but more than half of the tables were now unavailable with "RESERVED" signs on them. I did not want to sit at the bar, but gave up on work and did so that I could order some food. This was around 10pm.
Finally, the next morning, my wife and I went to a sit-down breakfast at McCoy's. They were understaffed and our server was oversat. Initial attention took longer than 10 minutes. Food took more than 40 minutes. A check took far too long after we were done to arrive and the whole experience was incredibly disappointing. Again, we had a much better experience here in the past....
Read moreWe have frequented this restaurant since we discovered it back in 1994 & their Horizon restaurant as well.
We have never been disappointed until recently.
It is our ritual to receive our flight guests in style rather than enduring the chaos of the MCO crowd.
We have all guests meet us at the Hyatt lounge, order beverages while awaiting our arrival.
We take advantage of the valet parking on the lower level so as to avoid parking chaos.
Then, we invite our exhausted traveling guests to join us for a meal at Mccoys.
It never fails to be a memorable moment & refresher.
Unfortunately, after so many decades, we had a US Army Vet guest treated very poorly.
He is a steoke survivor. He was wheeled by wheelchair to Mccoys & they placed him in a cramped 2-seat booth wherein he had to sit sideways because he could not maneuver his body into the space.
He is fully paralyzed on his right side & has a VA issued tripod cane & leg brace.
No logical mindful management could have witnessed this & said it's ok.
Instead of the female manager from the carribean giving us the cold stone face status quo, "sorry, we will speak to the person," should have acted to correct the matter.
I get it she's not a US citizen so who cares about US Vets injuries, right.
They even overcharged him when he sent back the burnt Brussel sprouts.
I've never been so embarrassed. You never get a 2nd chance to impress your guest,...
Read moreI came to this restaurant last week with colleagues and had a great server and great food ….. today I came in with one colleague at around 2pm we sat in a two seater towards the left hand side of entrance our server (do not know her name she did not introduce herself she has red locs/dreads hairstyle). She had an attitude when taking our order brought the order and had an attitude then as well. We requested some things that where missing or did not arrive (she didn’t verify our order upon being it to the table is my assumption. Once done eating she cleared out 1 plate and brought the bill and sis not ask if we wanted anything else which we did. It’s almost like she did not want to engage at all with her patrons smh! My colleague asked for a coffee with Splenda at this point this was about an hour ago and still have. It received it - she stated hesitantly as if she wanted to reply no but stated she had to make the coffee. She asked with an attitude “do you want me to switch you to another server my shift is done” my colleague replied “yes” and she stormed off and slammed the salt and pepper on a stand nearby and then disappeared. No one has checked on us and it has been awhile highly unprofessional and I will not return to this...
