Pho 54 — Restaurant in Orlando

I come to the Lotte Market sometimes to be surrounded by many different Asian cuisines and pick and choose an item from each place and end up being overwhelmed by how much I ordered. Literally the stuff of life.

The one stall I'll focus on today, Pho 54, doesn't have much in terms of ambiance. All it is is a storefront. Service is always quick and efficient. No complaints in any of those departments ever.

As for the food, I've tried quite a few items from their menu, but this particular visit, I had the classic Bánh Mì. This sandwich is always made perfectly here. You get that soft but strong bread that shares roots in France and ping pongs influence back and forth from Louisiana. The meat is always so tender and flavorful. And the veg is always bright and fresh and crisp.

I honestly think think this is the best bánh mì in town. Maybe I'm wrong. But at the very least, it's the best bánh mì...

Wish I could give a 5 ⭐️ to this place. I come here once every month to eat number 1 phở tái here but the register attendant always looks like she doesn’t want you to stop by her place. Not only does she sound like she’s annoyed but also her facial expressions look like she’s not pleasant and not welcoming. The Vietnamese phase describes this facial expression as “funeral face” - gương mặt đưa đám. I normally enjoy the everything and pretty easy going but I have to write here that tells you how much I am bothered by her. The owner lady (I assume because I don’t really know) is kinda better but still very similar to this lady. I wonder why they do that? That’s not Vietnamese way to welcome guesses, let alone this is their business??? I love phở over here though because the meat is hand cut and the broth is close to any good homemade...

Searched for food and found this. Didn’t realize it is INSIDE the Lotte Plaza store as it isn’t clearly marked outside. Once inside, it’s right at the front of the store. You order at the counter, and if doing in, they give you a buzzer when your food is ready.

Bun Ga was fantastic, especially the chicken compared to to other places. The cucumber was big slices, and all together, ample portion

The Beef Pho was good and flavorful. They give you all the fixings and sauces on your tray. Only negative was the beef was in the bowl in a bigger chunk and wasn’t as tender as other places, but we think the portion was bigger though.
