Tous les Jours — Restaurant in Orlando

I've enjoyed several birthday cakes and sweet treats at Tous les Jours for years, but it was my visit yesterday that really inspired me to write this review.

Maybe it is the lack of labeling from most bakeries that makes what they do so incredible, but not only are their desserts and baked goods some of the best I've EVER had, but they are so conscientious about listing each ingredient and having accurate allergy labeling. EVERY SINGLE item is individually packaged with a corresponding list of ingredients as well as which of the top 9 allergens it contains.

Not only that, but when an item contains tree nuts, they even list WHICH SPECIFIC TREE NUT is contained. Because not everyone with a tree nut allergy is allergic to ALL tree nuts.

Anyway, I know that this process of labeling takes care and time. But it is SO APPRECIATED.

They are not an allergy free facility, but what they are doing is setting a standard I could only WISH and HOPE for in most bakeries and restaurants in general.

Was really looking forward to trying these pastries bc they looked yummy, and I ordered a bunch of cookies for my coworkers tomorrow. Collected my order at the store, got home and realized all of the cookies were missing. Called the store— spoke to the same lady who handed me the order and she said they don’t have cookies so they “processed a refund”. She didn't tell me this when I arrived, so I wasn’t expecting this ..plus I didn’t receive any refund.

In total, I was charged $60 for 2 lattes and 3 pastries. The lady told me she’d call me back bc she can’t help me and doesn’t know where the refund or her manager are.. Go to Light on the Sugar, they’re 200x better than this...

I got two slices of cake today, the chocolate one was rancid. The cream on top tasted like spoiled milk and the cake itself was bland, hard, and dry. The green tea one was moist but absolutely flavorless. I can't imagine spending 42$ on a cake and THATS how it tastes. This is my second time trying it. The first time I went I got soem ube bread which was also flavorless and a manho cream donut that was hard and dry and clearly stale. Based on the 3 bakers racks packed full of pastries, they make way too much and just sell the old stale desserts. I won't be trying it again.
