We shared the most wonderful and delicious meal at the Beacon Room today .. the day a tornado hit Cape Cod. Not only did the owner and his staff take care of us, they were genuinely concerned about our safety. From the second we sat down and they told us about the tornado warning to the moment they ushered customers to the basement and the back of the restaurant near the bathrooms to keep us safe, they remained calm and sure of how to keep us all safe. We regret that we never had the chance to meet and thank the kind owner. Emily our waitress was incredible as she took everyone's orders at the same time once the tornado warning had expired and the storm went out to sea. The hostess and the bartender, two lovely ladies whose names I didn't get chipped in to assist with anything and everything the packed restaurant needed with continued patience and smiles on their faces. We will never forget where we were on the day a tornado hit Cape Cod and we will certainly never forget the amazing people we met at the Beacon Room and the kindness they showed to all of us during what could have been a very scary time. We survived the tornado of 2019 and we couldn't be...

We had never been here before, but we were looking for something different than typical fried seafood or burger type restaurants. It had good reviews on Yelp, so we checked it out. The food and service were excellent. I had a delicious lobster salad sandwich on a croissant which was mostly lobster with very little mayo. My wife and I also split the Goronzola, walntut, and sun-dried cranberry salad tossed with field greens and house vinaigrette which was very good. Other dishes at our table which were good were the fishwich sandwich without the bread with tasty french fries and the curry chicken salad sandwich.

We ended up eating in a room by ourselves, since all the other seating was taken. It was a brightly lit, pleasant room which was quiet and comfortable. (The only thing which could be improved by consulting with a decorator or design person was the art work which was a display of a variety of styles and abilities, and did not add much to the ambience.)

When in the Orleans area of Cape Cod, if you are looking for a nice restaurant that has very good food, check out the...

Overall a great meal and I would recommend someone to try this place out. The host seemed a little frazzled and not able to tend to a busy night, but we managed to get a nice table after 15 minutes. They have a nice area outside that might be ready for tables outside, but maybe it's too new. Our meal was delicious I ordered the special swordfish and my other guests had chicken saltimbocca and a pasta kids meal. The kids meal wasn't listed but they offered pasta or chicken tenders. We tried the fried artichoke heart appetizer and it was cooked to perfection. These have a nice balance of saltiness and tart from the balsamic vinegar. Try them and you won't regret it (heck my 7 year old son ate them up). The overall atmosphere was a little loud and the acoustics travel in this restaurant, but you can get a great seat and make it a romantic night out or take a group next to the bar. I suggest calling ahead of time to reserve as this area gets crowds very quick and the wait...

Visited for supper, and while the atmosphere was classy and the staff was friendly, the execution from the kitchen didn’t match the price and the service at the end of supper was slow. My wife had a sole dish with curry sauce, greens and grapes, and felt it was excellent. I had the scampi and an oak barrel Chardonnay and was disappointed with how overcooked the scallops and shrimp were. The lobster was tough too. We were grateful that the staff welcomed us with open arms, as we were not dressed as well as the locals, but it took forever to get the bill. Watching the staff work through bills, and using an antiquated system of using a pen to write the tip on the bills, I think it is time for a technology investment, or better bank or trust, if only to reduce the stress of all the staff and better serve the customers. Seems to be a theme in Cape Cod—friendly up front, struggling on the tail end.

The food was delicious, from Cod bites as an appetizer to Elk loin and Chicken Milanese for main courses. The negative things we experienced were too long wait time on the food. It took exactly 45 minutes for main courses to arrive after we got an appetizer. Other thing is the portion of Chicken Milanese and Cod bites were really small, Chicken dish was super small and hidden under huge amount of arugula. Cod bites were more in category of small plates or individual plate rather than appetizer since there is literaly 4/5 tiny pieces of fish. Other than that food realy tasted good and we enjoyed it.

We had veal and squash blossom. They were both amazing. Veal was juicy and had a crunchy exterior, perfect. Squash blossom is a tempura with ricotta cheese filling, and goes very well with the honeycomb and salad. For desert, we had a chocolate brownie with ice cream and whipped cream. The quantity of cream in that platter was quite something. Overall a great place with a beautiful view (outdoor seating)
