Ice Cream Cafe — Restaurant in Orleans

If I could give 100 stars I would. The family that runs this place are amazing and the staff that they have is truly a special group of people. During one of the busiest times for them our son dropped my wife's phone and it somehow went in the ONLY crack on the deck big enough for a phone to fall though. It was a good 15-20ft away from an opening and the deck height couldn't of been more than 18". Tyler gave me his name and number and I reciprocated. By the following morning we had communicated and by lunch that day I had my wife's phone in my hand. I couldn't even being to express my gratitude that they would be willing to get a strangers phone like that. On top of ALL that, THEY HAVE AMAZING ICE CREAM AS WELL. If you're up at Cape Cod between Mid April-End of September, I don't care what part, make a trip to Orleans to this little shop. Or hopefully during the season catch their truck roaming about the Cape. You will not be...

Good Homemade Ice cream. I am from the Cape and had not been here to this Ice cream place yet and wanted to try it out. I personally got the Coffee and Cookies hard serve ice Cream it was creamy and had a good coffee taste along with pieces and hunks of real oreos. I thought the options for Vegan Ice cream here was very cool, most places do not offer as many options for Vegan as this location did. The staff was all very young and could have been friendlier truthfully but the atmosphere and taste of the homemade ice cream can make you overlook that. If you are visiting the cape and are passing thru I recommend stopping here, perhaps right after eating lunch or dinner at Cook's Seafood which is in the same parking lot. When you visit the Cape most are looking for that small beachy town, Mom and Pops 's kind of place and this is a great one stop place, Cook's Seafood on one side of the parking lot and homemade Ice Cream...

So many flavors and presentation options (sundaes, cones, shakes etc). Fast counter service at this very popular, usually crowded, small space. Prices typical of Cape Cod. Sit outside at a table, or on the steps, or a bench out front or a wall...wherever you can fit is fine. To skip the confusion, you should know to enter at the street-front porch door and exit through the parking lot deck side if you want to go with the flow and be in line. Tip your server in a shared tip cup. Your server takes, and prepares your order, and processes your payment. Credit accepted; but tip cup is cash. Located across the main road from Christmas Tree Store and across Cottage Street from Cooke's (where signs ask for only Cooke's customers to park, so try to get in the cafe lot or park on Cottage St. Walking distance...
