Bangkok Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Orleans

It began on the phone with the surly, rude person taking our order - incorrectly I might add. It went downhill when she hung up on me because I asked her to repeat the wait time because I didn't understand. And then there was the second time she hung up on me when I called back to clarify. It continued when I arrived to pick up and I was chastised and had my check thrown at me because the person was frustrated that she couldn't find my order. It of course was my fault. It spun out of control when I informed her I was not tipping my customary 20% for takeout due to the poor service. That's when the yelling and shouting began, being told to leave and not come back. I informed her and another employee that their behavior warranted a review. She screamed at me on my way out the door "I don't care", which I suspect is true, she really didn't care. And BTW, my order was incorrect and the food was worse than mediocre. The fresh rolls were a mess, all broken up and bursting out of their wrapper. The meals, two completely different dishes, were identical in flavor, used the same tasteless sauce, and they forgot our rice order in spite of charging us for 2. Hello you Thai food lovers out there. One star for Bangkok Thai is being generous. This has to win the prize for the worst Thai food I've ever had and I have eating at Thai restaurants all over the country. The only thing worse than the food was the nasty attitude when I asked for coconut milk in my red Thai curry. The owner is the one who waited on me. Then the owner's wife is the one who came back to the table. She took my plate back in a huff and brought it back and practically slammed it on the table saying in her broken English in an angry tone I do it for you this time but not ever again. Believe me she doesn't have to worry about that no brainer I won't be back. . The serving of rice that they charge extra for and do not include with the meals was a very small serving. The beautiful decor and convenient location inside the decor is is not enough to bring me back there but if you're feeling like Asian food I heard there was a good Chinese restaurant in the area. I highly do not recommend Bangkok Thai Restaurant. They do not stand behind their food their recipes and they are rude to customers if you ask for anything extra. The food was okay. Here is the reason I gave 1 star to the restaurant. We had lunch there and it cost us $35.74. I paid by my credit card and put down $5 for the tip. The total amount I signed on the bill was $40.74. When I got the statement from my credit card company, the bill for the lunch at Bangkok Cuisine was $41.14 which was NOT the amount I authorized the restaurant to charge on my credit card. Although the amount was only $0.40 different, I felt it was so wrong that the restaurant changed the amount without getting my permission. I then called the restaurant to complain, the answer I got from the manager was "We charge 15% tip on top of every single bill. If you don't pay enough, we automatically change to the amount without asking. The owner told us to do that". I was so shocked to hear the answer the restaurant manager gave me. Here is to warn everyone who wants to go there. No matter what kind of services you get there, you HAVE TO pay 15% tip. THIS IS SO WRONG. I WILL NEVER GO...
