Delicias Centro Americanas 2 — Restaurant in Ormond Beach

A hidden gem. Everything was homemade. The tortillas, the sauces, the meat was juicy and fresh, everything to a T was superb. Brian, our waiter was incredible and extremely knowledgeable and kind. He explained that the restaurant is family owned and you can certainly tell. Well put together menu, not too big and not too small and there is options for everybody.

It is an authentic Mexican / Spanish restaurant unlike the majority of others here. I spent $40 on Chicken Enchiladas (pictured), a HUGE side of guacamole, a side of fresh pickled onions (rare find), a chicken empanada, a sweet tea, and a massive chicken burrito with fries. A ton of food and for the price you simply put cannot beat it. This place deserves more attention. Family owned business that truly deserve more light. I have been here before but service has gone downhill. I placed an order and was advised it would take 30 minutes be ready. I arrived and my order was not ready, it wasn't even put in, I clearly saw the waitress put my order in as I was asking for pick up. She then told me it would take 30 minutes to be ready. I told here I was frustrated since I ordered 30 minutes ago, she told me they were busy and acted like nothing was wrong. When your order doesn't even get put into the systems and acting like nothing happened is unacceptable. The food itself was not good either. We were looking for something a little different tonight than the usual and stumbled across this place.

We decided to order takeout. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was plentiful.

We each ordered combos and split everything in half. Turns out, this is a great way to be able to sample more at once. It was fun to share what each of us thought about the different items. After a much effort, we couldn’t finish but maybe half of the order, so guess what’s for lunch tomorrow?!

I would totally recommend this place to friends and family, and even people we don’t know.
