Kneading More Sweets Bakery - Cakes & Cheesecakes — Restaurant in Ormond Beach

First time ordering here and will probably be our last. My husband called on Wednesday for a custom cake for Friday. He was told they did not have a baker coming in Thursday so they couldn’t do the requested cake with vanilla buttercream only whipped topping, the cake had been frozen, and they could not decorate it with any specialization. So why say they offer custom cakes when they cannot? What kind of bakery doesn’t have a baker coming up on the weekend when a majority of cakes are ordered? They get two stars because the cake for being frozen was very moist, however, a bit gummy and the whipped topping was very greasy, overly sweet, and seemed artificial. Hubs and I were on our way to Orlando when we stopped for a sandwich at Subway. We didn't expect to end up so far off the highway, but Kneading More Sweets was right next door, so it all worked out! Super friendly staff, explained the items and flavor choices (the bottom shelf is alcoholic!). Boxed up our cookies and cheesecakes and even included spoons and napkins after hearing we were on the road. And the goodies were delicious! We ate the cheesecakes in the car, and the cookies were devoured in two sittings! If you need delicious baked good and/or cheesecakes, this is the place! I wanted to get my daughter and grandchildren something to enhance their Christmas spirit. Christmas Cookies felt like a spirit lifter to me. The problem was , my daughter and grown grandchildren lived in Daytona Beach Florida and I was living in southwestern Arizona. The first bakery I called had their cookies sent in from New York! But Kneading More assured me their cookies were made from scratch to decoration in their store. She promised to make up beautiful cookie trays for my daughter and grandchildren. She did as promised.
