Green Tea — Restaurant in Ormond Beach

We haven't been to this restaurant in quite a few years and was looking forward to some of the same amazing memories of great food at a great price and amazing service. We are incredibly disappointed in our most recent experience and have decided not to try this restaurant again.

Our family has pork restrictions for a variety of reasons so we always sub pork fried rice with plain fried rice and pork egg rolls with shrimp rolls. As a family of four we were placing four different entree orders. The gentleman taking our order seemed initially friendly apologizing for our wait. As we started placing our orders he would almost cut us off asking in an increasingly rude tone "anything else?" We asked (because it isn't posted) what was in the House Special Lo mein? We were told that it contained pork so we asked that the pork be removed. This seemed to cause some irritation because the gentleman proceeded to raise his voice and ask "ANYTHING ELSE?!" in the middle of us asking that the pork fried rice also be replaced with plain rice.

After being yelled at we stated "Nevermind, thank you anyway" and went to pull off. We could hear him yelling "I don't know what you want!" Sir, we were trying to tell you...

As an avid foodie family who genuinely believes in putting our money into local businesses in our community our hearts are saddened but we absolutely will not tolerate being treated so disrespectfully for simply ordering our food. Ok where to start. We go to this place a lot sometimes 2 or 3 times a week. The owner of this place or the guy that takes orders and is always there. Is the rudest person I have ever come across in the food industry. We ordered 3 lunch specials. It says on the menu get a soda for 50 cents extra with your meal. I ordered 2 sodas. I noticed the receipt when I got home and he charged me $2.58 for the sodas. It should have been 1.00. went today ordered 3 lunch specials didn't ask for soda. I showed him my receipt from the other day we're he over charged me. Then he starts yelling at me and tries to explain why I was charged that amount and he was wrong and very explosive and rude to me. He wouldn't let me explain anything he just kept yelling at me. This isn't the first time I have seen him go off on people. He did it to other people over the headset while we were at the window. He was cussing and looking like a fool. This is the last time he will speak to me that way. He can shove his business where the sun doesn't shine. He can't put a patch on China star in Port Orange. They treat me like family there. I don't know what you are talking about. I ordered the sodas at the speaker. They where not add at window. You ripped me off and I will never be back. You want to post the receipt go right ahead. It will so you are wrong and didn't even give me a chance to a word out. You just kept screaming at me. I recorded the yelling would you like me to post that. I don't think so. Honestly I wish I could put zero stars..I thought because it was a small family business they would be a little more professional but I was very wrong.I woke up craving Chinese food so I waited until they opened and called them at 11:05am, placed my order for delivery and spent $73 on a large order. Five minutes later they call me back stating they are closing early (only 10 minutes after opening) and can’t deliver our order.But wouldn’t accept to take cash on delivery so they made me pay with card.I didn’t have the extra money to get Chinese in the first place but decided to splurge knowing I’d be strapped for the week, since it’s off my card they stated it would take 3-5 business days until I received my money back plus the 20% tip I told them to charge me for.Ive been there a couple times before and I have to say their food is always fresh but it’s not that good and the vegetables are never cooked all the way so it was not worth losing money on.Definitely will not be going back there ever again.In my opinion even if they wanted to close early they still should have fulfilled this order seeing as how it was a large order and I’m only 2 miles down the road.Also they always have their underage kids probably about 13 or so working the register and cooking which makes them look even more...
