I recently had the pleasure of dining at Greektown Taverna, and I must say that it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Scott.
From the moment we were seated, Scott made us feel welcome and attended to our every need with a warm and friendly demeanor. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was top-notch.
Scott's attentiveness and professionalism truly enhanced our time at Greektown Taverna. He took the time to explain each dish, made wonderful recommendations based on our preferences, and ensured that our drinks were always filled. His efficiency and attention to detail were remarkable.
What stood out most about Scott was his genuine enthusiasm and passion for providing exceptional service. He exuded a positive energy that was contagious and made us feel like valued guests throughout our meal. His warm personality created a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere that added an extra layer of pleasure to our evening.
The food at Greektown Taverna was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance was charming, but it was Scott's exceptional service that truly made the experience well worth the money and wait. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience.
I highly recommend Greektown Taverna, and if you have the opportunity, I encourage you to request Scott as your waiter. His dedication to providing exceptional service is unparalleled, and he truly made our visit an unforgettable one.
A heartfelt thank you to Scott and the entire staff at Greektown Taverna for an outstanding evening. We look forward to returning soon!

Read moreWhen I first walked in I was served by a great server named Issac. He was bold, willing to serve but smelled like alcohol. I sat at the bar so I can get a peek into the kitchen everytime the server door is swung open. The cook Sina looked over worked and about to quit. The owner would typically yell at a young lady that I'm assuming was his wife quite often. She looked like she was about to cry and crash out. The taste of the gyro meat tasted like dried rubber with soggy bread & rancid onions. I wouldn't recommend eating the gyros at all. If you get the gyro sandwiches feel free to go to Corleone's over on White St. in Daytona Beach, you won't regret it. When I looked in the door way I seen pans of 'precooked' potatoes sitting on multiple pans on top of the oven. I cook for a living so I know those potatoes sitting on top of the oven were definitely overcooked. The restaurant smelled of must & old onions. From the look of it I seen absolutely zero Greeks working in this "AUTHENTIC" Greek restaurant. I would not recommend eating there if you had a choice. Shoot, even if Michael Corleone from Godfather threatened my life I still wouldn't eat...
Read moreI rate a restaurant based on the following criteria, in this order: quality of food, service, price, and atmosphere. I visited Greektown Taverna for lunch on a Monday. At 1:30, it was not crowded, but not completely empty. I ordered the dolmades, which I consider a core dish for any Greek restaurant. The service was very good; the server quick, attentive, and pleasant. The manager visited tables to ask if i was enjoying the meal and he freshed my tea. I rate service 5 stars. The meal however, was not good. The pre-meal bread with a plate of seasoned olive oil should have been good. However, the bread was very stale. The dolmades were tough and sauce had very little flavor. The side of grilled zucchini was good, but small (2 dill pickle sized slivers). The side of roasted potatoes was essentially frozen steak fries that were heavily salted. I rate the quality of food a 2, simply because the zucchini was prepared well. In terms of price, $22 for a single lunch with an ice tea is too much for substandard diner food. I will not give the restaurant a second chance and do not...
