They screwed up when I asked for extra Chicken on the side for a Chipotle sandwich, which was going to be for my dogs. Can't just take it off because that chipotle is going to mess with them, and it's already very expensive because they charge you more than what a pound of chicken breast costs just going to a store, for a tiny little cup of it. You would figure that they would make it right by saying, "Oh my mistake, here you go sir, here is an extra cup on the side as requested." NOPE! They proceeded to go ahead and try to charge me for another side of chicken which I was willing to do, but on its own without being extra on the side there's no way to input it in the computer so (this next part is funny!) They tried to ring me up an entire sandwich and take everything off so it's just the piece of chicken, that I can later cut up into strips and give to the dogs, and it was the price of a full sandwich. Meaning about $14 after tax. They asked me if that was okay and I kind of laughed and said no. Then they try to get a manager to see if they could override so that it's just the cost of extra chicken and I was a bit flabbergasted flabbergasted when the answer was simply no. Then I thought about it and I was actually a bit perturbed that the manager didn't simply come out with a small cup of extra chicken and say, "my bad, here's some extra chicken sir we should have listened to you when you explicitly said that you wanted that extra Chicken on the side, and we understand that you said it was going to be for your dogs so it makes sense that when we put it on the sandwich that wouldn't be good for them to just take off and give it to them with all that chipotle sauce on it." Or other words to that effect. But no. The answer was simply NO! So I say, "never mind, they just simply don't get any chicken today." And then when I pick my bag up over at the pickup area, one of the sandwich assemblers must have overheard everything and thought it was ridiculous and went ahead and snuck me that extra cup of chicken. Good on him! But this reflex very poorly on a Panera Bread manager. I have seen any other store screw up for other people and bend over backwards to make it right. And this one simply said, "NO."
I have went to this Panera Bread I think at least four times and one of the most annoying things is that you get the email after creating an order on the app saying that they got the order, and then you wait inside of your vehicle until it says that your order is ready for pickup, and then I go in and it hasn't even been started yet. I don't know how their system works, but I'm pretty darn sure that somebody has to clear the order off the screen before the system sends out that email saying that it's ready for pickup. So that means that people are clearing out orders without starting them and it makes me feel like when you go to a fast food restaurant to the drive-thru and they manipulate all of their numbers for how fast an order gets made and a person gets through the drive-thru by not taking your order until the drive-through is completely clear so that they can take it, and clear out the order real quick so it makes it look like they are super fast when they are just manipulating numbers. Definitely not something that should be going on, and specially at Panera bread. There are other stores in the area I went to all three of them maybe there's even more than three there's only three that I'm aware of, and this one is the only one that...
Read moreI am at work with my co workers. None of us are able to leave the branch to go pick up our order. We ordered for pick up. Our friend went to go pick it up and bring it to us at work. There were 3 meals two you pick twos and a pizza. I used to work and be a shift manager at a panera up north. I had asked for a bacon turkey bravo no tomatoes which was correct light signature sauce which I had extra on mine, I also had one small piece of bacon. The bacon is expensive please give the right portion of bacon for half a sandwich and my chicken Ceasars salad definitely did not have 1.75 oz of chicken in there. Either pre bagg weighed meats or make sure to balance the scale before weighing tge chicken. My co worker didn't even vet her pizza. When she called there was blame on the person who had answered the phone. If this was a manager or even a crew member shame on you for throwing someone under you to shift the blame. There was an assumption it was an uber eats or door dash order which it was not it was a pick up order. Staff needs to make sure QC and expo are checking off the items on each item with tge ticket to ensure that everything is in the bag for the order. Instead of saying we can give you a coupon see if a caterer could step out to make this right This company is supposed to BLAST Believe Listen Apologize Solve the problem and Thank them for being a customer. Read moreI order from the Ormond Beach location quite regularly, and though I usually overlook the manor inconsistencies today I just could not. This location needs some serious help and restructure. Ordered breakfast with rapid pick up, app advised food will be ready by 8:15, get there at 8:18 and food is still not ready. Wait around for almost 10 more minuets and the young man cashier is literally yelling for help to his other co-workers as the store is getting quite busy and orders are coming out wrong and they just ignore him. Very chaotic for 8 in the morning, after I leave and try to zoom to work, I look at my pumpkin muffin and there is mold on it....like literal mold (see pic) no that's not the pumpkin spice. The previous day, my sandwich came out with practically raw egg on it when it is suppose to be scrambled, we stopped ordering coffee at this location because it comes out so disgusting. When we order for lunch I also use the rapid pick up and the food is NEVER in the pick up window, I have to flag down a worker to ask for my food and they have to hunt it down for me. I love Panera and always justified spending $30 dollars on a breakfast or lunch for two because it was good quality and great service but now after finding the mold and the food being subpar, I can no longer justify how expensive it is.
