Chocolate Iguana — Restaurant in Oro Valley

Great Spot for reopening of Chocolate Iguana. I missed them so much, and the quality hasn't changed~

I purchased a Chocolate Iguana with a Substitution of Vanilla Ice Cream instead of the mint chocolate (due to allergy). And the taste is very flavorful! However, they don't add that little wafer stick in it anymore~

I will mention that the prices are a little high

I get it though, it's a small local business and I'm more than willing to support when I can~

The atmosphere is very different from their old location, but it is cozy and welcoming.

Staff is friendly, some are still in the process of learning due to just opening but still did an amazing job.

I'm a coffe-holic, and the buzz around Chocolate Iguana had me curious so.... I decided to give them a try. The atmosphere and esthetics walking in looked promising. so I was excited to try them out. Since I'm not a fan of liquid sweeteners, I opted out of my usual iced vanilla latte and instead ordered a 4-shot espresso over ice with room for cream. When my order was called up, I was disappointed to see that the cream had already been added, much heavier than what I would have poured in on my own. Upon taking a sip, the espresso had a burnt taste... not bitter per se, but a burnt flavoring. I left a bit disheartened; Chocolate Iguana did not live up...

If I could give a zero I would, employees do not know how to take orders takes about 5-7 minutes to order a simple 4 drinks 2 of them exactly the same simple strawberry smoothies this was my second time ever coming here and both times were horrible experiences. I have powder at the bottom of one of the drinks and all over the other one. Whoever is training employees is not training them properly it isn’t their faults at all but I am very very upset to throw my drinks in the garbage again. PLEASE train all employees properly!!!!
