Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Oro Valley

Updated 2025: The email offers from the parent company seemed to all be honoured at this location. This brings the prices back down to reasonable levels as long as you watch your coupons. Last few times the pizzas have had giant bubbles which is why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 4. I would go back to 5 stars if they could put a reasonable amount of toppings when I order double and if they could properly pierce the dough before cooking to make sure there are no bubbles.

Updated 2024: Unfortunately local Marcos has gone downhill. They have gotten greedy and I no longer go here.

Specifically: The parent company advertised specials that this location does not honour. The better the deal the more likely it won't be honoured. You'll get an error that the item wasn't found.

For deals they do honour, they increase the price. For example, the parent offers at 8.99 and this location is 11.99 or 14.99

They reset my loyalty rewards when they changed computer systems, causing me to lose a 10 dollar off coupon

After I rebuilt my rewards, I redeemed a reward coupon but it didn't apply because I had a sale offer in my cart. However instead of not using the reward and letting me use it next time it was just consumed.

Worst pizza I've had in 30 years. I don't expect much, because its Tucson, but this was like eating literal cardboard. Dough was flavorless, bone dry, and super chewy. Crust inedible it was so dry. Cheese was obviously dirt cheap and also flavorless. Sauce was actually good, except I barely got any at all. No garlic on the crust. And the worst part - canned mushrooms?! Even Dominos uses fresh mushrooms, which is what I expected. I haven't seen a pie made with canned mushrooms in 30 years lol. Also cut unevenly. Just terrible. Forced myself to eat 3 different sized slices and threw the rest in the trash where it belonged. Go literally anywhere else. Too much time in the oven. Dough needs olive oil and salt, pies need at least a little more sauce, and get some fresh veggies. Learn to cut symetrically. Everything I asked about came pre-packed out of a bag, which is contradictory for a place that brags about making their own dough. Didn't think I had to question the mushrooms. Also, this location does not honor most national deals, but rather charges dollars more for sales items. Left these comments in case...

The pizza was delicious. We are currently trying as many local pizza joints and this is a solid 9/10 in our book. Fresh, gooey cheesy pizza!

Our largest complaint isn’t about the food it’s the facility. We walked in and were overwhelmed. Very small menu screen and felt “pressured” seen a menu on the counter and grabbed a tabled to read it.

The menu does not have pricing on it, and neither did the screen. Any place that doesn’t show prices give to food for us vibes.

Back of menu had a scan me code thing. Did that. So annoying having to use your phone to get an idea how expensive your lunch is going to be.

Was pleasantly surprised that it was reasonably priced!

Lobby also consisted of 4 tables. We took one and then it looks like a company was hosting a lunch-in and had to bring chairs from the outside in.
