Went on opening day with friends, food was okay. It’s buffet food. Main problem that trip was our server Debbie (at least on the receipt is what it said) she was the rudest server I’ve had. To the point we were uncomfortable to even be there anymore. She did nothing for us, got us one drink and then when they were empty she said she’ll be back with new ones and never did. Came back and noticed she never refilled them but instead of being apologetic she got on to my friend and told her she needed to tell her to refill them. Then she went and told the hostess and pointed at us as she talked about us. Looked miserable and angry the entire time. It was opening day girl, wait until a week in to be like that. Went with more people today. Only reason we would ever go back was because it’s cheap. I’m hoping the quality will go up, it’s only the first week, but will need lots of work. Everything is majorly dry, the rice was literally pudding, mashed potatoes tasted like styrofoam, labels are wrong on food so it’s confusing lol, mostly soggy vegetables. Definitely think some changes in sides should happen. I get the food cost situation but I definitely think some roasted potatoes, some GOOD rice, maybe even fried rice, Mac and cheese, etc would go over well and hold WAY better than what it is now. Main courses should to be able to stay stocked and fresh. Chicken and dumplings needs wayyy more seasoning. Also we had a different server today but Debbie was still around and still extremely rude. My whole group today were people all from a restaurant we work at together and we all noticed this. I would love to see some changes to food and wayyyy more work with front of house. We all got distracted and watched three employees argue about cleaning tables in front of everyone (sorry for the girl who had to clean all the tables that weren’t hers lol) And the check out process was PAINFUL. had a random server come up and scream at us to move and so we all just had to huddle in a ball going out the door basically and it took about 15 minutes to check out with only one couple in front of us paying. I don’t understand why we aren’t paying as we walk in, that hectic energy of the workers and the customers trying to pay and stay out of the way makes the whole restaurant have an anxious energy. The interior looks great. I hope this whole first week will just be a learning experience for everyone to improve on. Myself and five others in my group probably won’t be back for a longggg time. Quality over quantity and that goes for food AND table service. 8 of us were sat directly next to another 8 top and no body had room to move at all. Also just to reiterate, food is not great, interior looks great, the flow of it all is HORRIBLE, and if you get Debbie as your...

NEW LOCATION Our first time here for the AYCE crab legs buffet and we were thrilled!! On Wednesdays from 4-8 pm, it's $39.99 for the crab legs as well as the rest of the excellent buffet! Our server Dana (She was terrific!) kept the hot, steamed crab legs coming, refilled our drinks, emptied the crab shell bucket several times, and was an A+++ server. My husband had a double cheeseburger and killer fries for only $12.95....it was huge and cooked perfectly. In general, all the staff is friendly and helpful, and the entire restaurant is spotless. Bonnie's is a true asset to the Osage Beach community. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
10.28.23 Back again and today, l had one of the BEST country fried steak and gravy plates I've had in a long time. The hashbrowns were on point, and the steak was crunchy, yet tender. Sadly, my biscuits & gravy were cold, but l brought them home, warmed them up, and all was well. The service was, as always, friendly and professional, extra shout out to Melissa for being such a GREAT face for the restaurant. I'm glad we're locals. It's nice to have a place like this here at the lake. A+++
This humble cafe has come a long way since the start of Covid. It's decorated with a comfy, country vibe but not over the too. The service is professional and friendly but never intrusive. We've started coming back a few weeks ago, and we love it. The food is tasty, with large portions, and served pretty quickly. Today, l had one of THE best club sandwiches I've had in a long time. My husband always eats breakfast and is always happy w/his choices. This is the kind of laid-back place where a person can eat alone and not feel uncomfortable or weird. A+++ experience, and I'm glad we live here & can come often. Thanks,...
Read moreThis was our first experiece going to the new buffet. The old Bonnies Cafe always served great hot delicous food with excellent service. Unfortunately, since reopenning as a buffet, its no longer the same. The buffet food is no better than the old Golden Corral in that it was fairly cold, seasonless, and left out to long without being kept hot or replaced with fresh hot cooked food regularly. Most chinese buffets taste better, keep food fresher and hotter than this new buffet.
The service was also like the old Golden Corral in that it was to slow and non existant throughout our dinner eventhough they had more staff working than when they were just a cafe. Our waitress had to be asked to get us our one and only drink refill as opposed to stopping by and checking during our 40 minute stay. The only customers appearing to get any good service were the ones ordering the expensive $50 AYCE crab legs. My wife decided to order from the menu instead of eating the buffet and it took over 25 minutes to get her sandwich which when it came was actually hot and fresh - which maybe a good reason to order from the menu than eating the buffet.
The entrance to the new buffet is also an issue. Its very tight and at times congested for those trying to get in to or out of the resturaunts parking lot.
Given that they are new in this location and a new buffet, means it "should" allow for some room for improvement. Until they do, we will probably pass on...
