I should have known when I scanned the room of humans eating and saw just disappointment, sadness and disgust.
We walked in and asked about the hibachi, no hibachi was what the hostess told us. It is blatantly on the awnings outside.
My youngest kid loves Asian food and we decided to roll the dice.
I scooped a ladle of beef and broccoli as it looked the... most... edible. One piece in my mouth, and I immediately spit it out. It was flaccid and slime, almost a sour fishy flavor. No, not fish sauce.... just fish, bad fish.
My youngest tried her general Tsao and spit it out. The flavor she described was sour and cold.
My husband tried the Tsao as well and it was confirmed cold. My oldest refused to eat.
After we all rejected our lackluster portions we walked out. The husband talked to the hostess/waitress. She comped us the meals, thus the 4 stars for her.
The food was lower than mediocre and the health department should shut it down.
My husband said he would rather eat a corn dog that fell on the floor at the fair.
We call it the Tears of Asia. 0/10 stars 🌟 do not recommend. My stomach is still nauseated from the beef. We will...
Read moreFor an Asian buffet, this one isn't bad at all. It was mostly clean and had a good layout. I, personally, would've preferred more of a variety of foods. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When I was there on Thursday, July 27th around 6-7 pm, there was only one other table/family. I just think there could've been a much bigger food selection. Otherwise, the food we did get was pretty yummy. I especially like the cookies that kind of taste like a croissant with sugar and coconut; so delicious! I also really liked how they charged a variety of prices based on age. I believe it was $6.99 for ages 3-6, and $7.99 for 7-10. I THINK it was $8.99 or $9.99 for adults (all of this being dinner prices, lunch was $1.00 cheaper for each age group). If you're looking for an Asian buffet, you can't go wrong...
Read moreI enjoyed a delightful lunch at Touch of Asia today. The buffet was reasonably well stocked, and fresh food was brought out several times while I was dining. I especially liked the Egg Drop Soup, Honey Chicken, and General's Chicken. Hands down the best part of the experience however was the Hibachi Grill. This was included with the price of the buffet ($8.99 for lunch), and included your choice of Beef, Pork, Chicken, Noodles, a plethora of Vegetables, Eggs, and more! The chef asked if I would like for the dish to prepared spicy or not spicy, and I request it to be just a little spicy. It was the perfect amount of spice, with excellent flavor and piping hot fresh from the grill. I can't believe that I waited so long to try this restaurant, and I plan to return...
