Harbor Freight — Local services in Osage Beach

BUYER BEWARE! I bought a tank sprayer and opened the box - big mistake! I took the sprayer out of the box 3 days later and immediately noticed the contents were not right. The instructions had marking on it that parts were missing and the tank was not secured to the bottom frame. Obviously someone else had returned the item before and resealed. When I returned to the store the same day and walked up to the counter, the front desk girl blurted out “YOU can’t return opened sprayers” I had not even had a chance to explain, and when I did she pointed out on the receipt that is says opened items must be returned via the web site. An approval process and shipping fees etc etc. I announced in the the store what my circumstances were and if unchanged….i would never buy another HARBOR FREIGHT Chinese imported piece of crap…ever again!!! My $30 is the last $$ I will ever spend in HARBOR FREIGHT ever ever ever again. What poor customer relations + poor MGMT and made an ever lasting impression on me….now a customer of ANY...

I purchased a digital scale for our Cub Scout troop Pinewood Derby from the Osage Beach location a couple of days ago. The scale was marked as discontinued and marked down to less than $8. After I told another Scoutmaster about them, he asked me if I could pick one up for him. I drove 45 minutes back to the store this morning, and when I picked up one of the two remaining scales, I noticed that the price was now $14 - even though it was still marked as discontinued. I assumed that it was an oversight. When I mentioned this at the register, the associate found my previous purchase but said it would be $14 today. The manager was at the register and absolutely refused to honor the previous price with no valid explanation - even though I (calmly) explained the story to him. I absolutely love this store! It’s so great to have one locally now. Even better is the customer service you get. I have bought several items from this location and each time I have questions. If the first employee I see doesn’t know the answer they will find someone who does. There is one employee I hope is working each time I go there and that’s April. Not only is she very helpful and knowledgeable, she’s also very personable! She always has a smile on her face and you can tell she really enjoys her job. As I local contractor that’s hard to find.
