First, I would like to respond to some reviews I have read.... Bartenders/servers taking shots, it happens! 99.9% of the places you go to-that is normal, it's part of the culture. Sometimes you actually might want you server to take a shot first- let them. They have to deal with some of the nastiest sides of people. Especially those who complain about a service industry "norm". (Don't hate me, I do not make those norms, I am just sharing the information). Geeeze Nancy, just leave them alone. The only reason you noticed is because they don't really have anywhere else to go to take it without your eagle eyes judging their every move. Again, it happens everywhere so that's not new news here. Also- 5 stars to the owners for NOT turning this place into an upscale "classy" dining experience. Sure, a classy place might be nice for those who are wealthy and could disregard a budget, but the majority of the customers likely are not the type to even want to go to some fancy-schmancy place in this quiet little town. This business will thrive on those who still visit in the dead of winter. Rich Karen's, you all can go to Mallards or Lake Elmo inn. Bye👋 Okay, to address the "remodel", it is more of a re-paint and slight redecorate. It looks great, you did an amazing job keeping it familiar for your regulars (likely the ones not upset that you're not some "classy" joint), yet it feels new and fresh. Nailed it. Now for my official review; It has been a LONG time since I had GOOD food from a bar and grill. They (the majority of the bar and grills) seem to all kind of taste the same. Mr.Pot, you did a great job crafting the menu. The chicken wild rice soup has real, large pieces of chicken in it. The zuppa tuscana was LOADED with protein! The wraps do not fall apart if you hold them right (maybe one reviewer had a user error) the wrap was absolutely stuffed with chicken and other fillings. Usually, at other places it's more wrap than filling, and in this case it is the exact opposite. The burgers are absolutely delicious. Even the kids burger is a good size- it will feed your average preteen. The pastrami sandwich Ruben style was by far way better than the ruben I had at one of those fancy classy places in Forest Lake. The patty melt was the best patty melt I've had so far in my whole lifetime. I have now been here a handful of times, each time has been delightful. You have to try it! Jack Pot's for breakfast, Jack Pot's for lunch, Jack Pot's for dinner. Jack Pot's for brunch, (oh they have a bloody bar too!) Jack Pot's for Linner (the meal usually between 2pm and 3pm), Jack Pot's for dinner,Jack Pot's for supper. They are open crazy late, just go whenever you can. Jack Pot's lives rent free in my brain. Hopefully soon, again in my belly. Yumyum. Needless to say. I'm a fan. I fear I hyped it up too much. But to each their own. I love it and you can form your own opinion. It won't change mine. Thanks for reading my novel of a review. Thank you for the wonderful addition to Downtown Osceola, it was much needed. ...and yes, I will be back this winter to support this small business when small businesses typically need the financial support the most. If I was wealthy and didn't have to budget, I really would have Jack Pot's for breakfast, brunch, lunch, linner, dinner, supper, 2 am pizzas and anytime in-between. I have been telling everyone I know and even actual strangers to go. It was that good (each and every time I have gone)! 10 out of 10, will recommend.

First time here as Jack Pot’s. Very welcoming. We had a group of 4 and were starving. We had a couple rounds of drinks and ordered food. Service was slow do to a large group but as they left out food came out and man it was worth the wait! I had the black and blue burger. Lots of blue cheese and bacon. Very good! The fries were exceptional. Not sure of the seasoning but it was amazing! We also sampled the chicken wings. They are dry rubbed and choose your sauce. I picked buffalo. It was great. We tried the onion rings, southwest egg rolls and the Gouda Mac n cheese bites. Everything was fantastic. We all left stuffed and brought food home. We will be back!!!

**Responding to their response... YOU just insulted a better part of this "charming" town by suggesting that an establishment geared towards a more mature clientele wouldn't fit here. Really? Way to alienate a good chunk of your community.

Furthermore, 12.95 for an all you can eat salad/soup/taco bar .... IS CHEAP! lol. If you're food is high quality like you say, and you're pubbing this cheap price for the salad bar, you are not making much on it which means it is made up other places. Higher priced drinks and hiring young workers who work for less than mature, experienced employees who get it. It's like a playground, now. A gambling arcade with food. *

Ok, quite a few of the mature, upper middle class/upper class people in this town are disappointed that we don't have a place here that run along the likes of Mallards in Forest Lake or Saltie in New Richmond who have mature, EXPERIENCED staff and more mature clientele. This is what we hoped for with the revamp of the Cascade Bar. What we have here is another wannabe dance club with very inexperienced, young staff (who no doubt work cheaper that veterans in the business), for the most part. What you think you save on overhead, you lose with not drawing in people with more money to spend. Best of luck. It does look nicer, but it's just another bar...

I've been here twice now. It's been interesting. The first time we met, we were really happy with our omelette. It was massive. It's expensive, but I felt the food we got was worth it. We got biscuits and gravy and frankly it was gross and was very, very expensive for what you got. It was almost gelatinous, not creamy like it normally is. We sat at the bar and service was decent. 2nd time we went, it almost all flopped the opposite way. Service was terrible. Almost all our checks were wrong, our alcohol for the bloody Marys were wrong. The omelette was probably 60% of the size it was the first time we were there, but honest the best tasting item we all had. I was too scared to add the biscuits and gravy again because of how poor it was the first time. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with a side of the gravy. As much as I disliked it the first time, generally a breakfast sandwich benefits from a bit of moisture. They were out of hollandaise. I was happy to see that the gravy was completely different than the first time, and hope it's what they stick with. Sandwich was good. I'd recommend if you go, try to find a spot at the bar. I'll have to see how consistency of quantities of food and quality of it does over time. Jury is out on this...
