Upscale Haute fusion restaurant of Filipino, Japanese and Chinese Cuisine. I went here by chance when a coworker friend invited me to the air show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. What I find unusual is that there is the the clients dining in are Not Filipino yet the owner band Cooks are Pinoy Filipino since Oshkosh Wisconsin is not a town I would have thought would have a Asian restaurant with Filipino Cuisine included. I would think the clientele would think of Filipino food as too exotic. Anyways I was curious to try it and it was surprisingly delicious . I ordered a combination of Filipino and Japanese entrees because I craving for certain foods of Asian ethnic Cuisine and wanted to taste how bad or how it was. All in all it was phenomenaly delicious! I ordered miso soup to start off with while my friend who is an older Pinoy ordered traditional Filipino food all the way. He ordered a familiar Filipino soup called "molo" soup which is similar to Chinese won ton but they added ground beef wrapped inside the Wong ton. Both soups look great in presentation and my miso soup was tasty. My next appetizer order I got was nigari salmon sushi which was very fresh and delicious. They used wild caught Pacific salmon which was very fresh and delicious. The main courses we ate was yummy and good. I had Filipino curry which was so so delicious with fresh sauteed vegetables and tumaric rice instead of traditional white rice. My friend had pancit Canton which also look tasty to eat. I ended my meal with a unusual twist of Filipino leche flan in which they add another dessert of vanilla ice cream making it flan ala mode. Very good and my kind of refreshing sweetness to end the course. All in all I had a great time. The food was satisfying by taste, portion and price. They even had musical entertainment of a guitarists and a person playing harmonica which went well the elegant ambiance. Thank goodness dressing up formal was not a requirement. Just casual proper. I would definitely come here if by chance I attended another air show or if I am passing along the way to Oshkosh when I have a craving. Hope this restaurant keeps up with what they have since it was surprisingly good in the Heartland of America out of all places to find great Asian fusion with Filipino cuisine as being...
Read moreI really want to give a better rating but there were too many issues. We called and made a reservation but no one knew about it when we arrived which was awkward. The overall idea of the restaurant brought us in, not to mention I was thrilled that there was gluten free options! The live music was fantastic. The issues started when I ordered a gf starter but had to replace it with another option because they ran out. Problem was I never received it, as I watched the 3 other appetizers be delivered. Someone brought me the chicken skewers later once we were discussing all the issues, but I quickly spit it out realizing it was not gf. (Teriyaki is not gf.) Server was very pleasant but we aren't sure if this was her first night. If it was her first night, where was the person helping and training her. Getting drinks took about 20 minutes at least and then we had to flag her down again for another round. Food came out that had been clearly under the heat lamp for a LONG time, not to mention missing food. Kitchen ran out of food even after being told we were getting last servings and changing other options. Missing shrimp, missing garlic rice (which is an upcharge) but then had to request missing food be taken off. I get it servers have bad nights. Kitchens can be off but unfortunately no one seemed to be helping each other. We were given a g.c. to come back, which we appreciate. Take out orders were flying out the door. We were next to the kitchen so we watched all of it. I don't know if there was a designated bar tender but it's Wisconsin, we like to drink people! Keep the glasses full, it keeps long food waits bareable. We were told that the missing and incorrect food was removed from the bill, however, when the bill came, it was not done. There is nothing more frustrating than being charged for things we did not...
Read moreWe always look forward coming to this place over the years until recently. We would love to come again and support this business but after our last couple visits, our dining experience was sub par. For one, we placed our order, waited a while only to be told the dish we wanted isn’t available to make (pretty normal these days with staffing issues but i would be honest that even before covid hit and before all the understaffing issues, service here is very slow). So we picked a different dish (both me and my husband), waited a while again and the waiter once came back to tell us that these were also not available. We also asked for milk which was on the menu for our kid, and there was no milk available. With all these, our wait time was doubled and it was so frustrating. The waiter should have known better and told us before hand what was available and not. We did not get the dishes we came here for, we drove from a different town. Another incident was the waiter messing up our orders. We were a party of 4, got our rice mixed up, waited for a good 15 minutes for the correct rice and still wasn’t served so I just asked for a plain one. Apart from that, we ordered a dessert and later on we were told that the last batch “flopped”. Like seriously, how does that happen? Lastly, we ordered 3 servings Of a certain dessert and they all came In different amounts like you can literally see that one is more than the other. The waitress was also not very attentive And not enthusiastic. Lastly, the food has been becoming somehow bland to the taste. Not sure why but definitely not worth the price you pay for anymore. It’s such a shame because this establishment has been great in the past but now seems To be going downhill. Was planning to come back with a bigger party but that’s not...
