My first trip to New Moon Cafe was a huge success! I will definitely be grabbing a quick meal here or sitting to finish homework again. The environment of the cafe is wonderful. It is quiet so you can focus on whatever it is you may be doing, but not so quiet that you can’t converse without it being obnoxious. The walls are covered in local artwork and there are potted plants giving you a very welcomed feeling. I did not try the coffee, although I did purchase the flatbread turkey sandwich which was very good. The bread was soft but not too soft, there was just enough mayo on the sandwich for it to not be dry, and the vegetables tasted very fresh. As for the customer service, I felt very welcome and the workers were very easy to talk with. I was also shocked after ordering a drink earlier in the night with my meal, I had come back after a local show I went to, and the very same worker remembered not only me coming in, but what drink I had ordered and offered to get me another. Overall I had a great experience at New Moon Cafe and would definitely recommend...
Read moreSeemed like a great place, especially to get lunch after a nice date downtown. I called the day before to make sure they would be open when I would be around and they assured me that they would be open and the kitchen would be running. However when I arrived within the time frame that they had given me for the kitchen, they told me they shut down the kitchen a while ago. They mentioned this after myself and my girlfriend had been standing by the lunch menu and debating what we wanted right by the workers and register, failing to mention the fact that there would be no more lunch. After receiving this information I left for another downtown cafe. I do not think I will return to the New Moon Cafe after experiencing the much, in my opinion, nicer Perk City Cafe. I will still give it two stars simply by the nice atmosphere and would recommend it to a friend who enjoys wide varieties of coffee, which there seemed to be a good selection, but I would not personally know due to leaving and never returning and my lack of...
Read moreAfter the farmers market we stopped in for lunch. We'd been here once before and remember it being good. It didn't disappoint. I had a breakfast burrito, 2 others had a wrap and chicken salad sandwich. Very reasonably priced! Everything was delicious but the star was THE DONUT.
I had been craving donuts for days. Thinking about them, smelling them in rooms where clearly a donut was not present (home office) and wanting to get some from the store but knowing they wouldn't live up to my expectations.
I saw a humble (yet quite large) donut in the bakery case. White icing, rainbow sprinkles and knew I needed it. I thought I'd save it for after my meal because it was kind of dessert. But I caved immediately and took a bite. BEST DONUT EVER. Seriously. I said I'd share with my kid, but the next day when she didn't want the piece I'd saved, I ate it and it was still good on day 2.
Go here! You...
