I don't usually write reviews, but I've never experienced such bad customer service. I was asked to move to a different table because that one was going to be used for a board meeting, totally understandable. We expressed our feelings about that interaction with a review. The owner then came up to us and yelled at us (this is not an over exaggeration). We told her we would leave, and she said "good" and told us to leave. Very poor way to handle the situation, I work in customer service, and I could never imagine acting that way. As we were leaving, she came up to us again, and then tried to make it right. That should have been the first way this situation was approached. We have supported this place for a long time, and I'm sorry to say it has been ruined for us. It was such a scary experience, we don't get into situations like this... ever.
Response: We do accept your apology, we have no ill feelings. We moved to that table that you mention, because we went to ask the staff what had happened, because we didn't know who you were. They said you were the owner, they asked to talk with you, we said no we don't want to start anything. They then suggested we sit at that table, the one you are saying we moved to "disregarding" what you said. The staff offered it, since they didn't see why not. If it got busy, we would leave. About buying food, we were planning on buying dinner, and definitely some cookies or ice cream later. Making assumptions that we won't purchase anything is simply inaccurate. The fact that I even have to respond to this is unbelievable. We were defending our review initially, but eventually we got SCARED of you. I distinctly remember being so scared, my friend and I were looking at each other, bug eyed. You then proceeded to yell at my friend for looking at me because she was so scared of what was happening. She also got so terrified that she said she would even delete the review. As we were leaving, we were still so terrified, but my friend wanted to say how sad she was since this place was a childhood favorite. You then proceeded to come up to us again and start fighting. We. Just. Wanted. To. Leave. Our legs were shaking we were so intimidated by your actions. We did not come to argue, we came to do homework and get dinner.
We have never been yelled like that by ANYONE in our lives, not even our parents. We don't get into things like this, nor do we want to. We were simply responding to what we were being told, we never even yelled at you. My friend's voice is very soft, she has a hard time ever raising it. We were defensive for maybe a minute, but we realized this was not worth it. I remember repeating "we're going to leave!" but you continued to scare and yell at us. Traumatizing experience for the both of us.
Bad reviews are going to happen, it's how you handle it that matters.
Your request is VALID but you need to handle it better and don't try to defend when you continue YELLING at...
Read moreEdit: While I appreciate the owners response, none of this interaction involved the male employee mentioned. I know who he is and we were talking for a brief moment before the female employee that this review is referring to stepped in. Thank you for your offer. I am fine with paying for my food. I was just pretty shaken up and felt like I was put on blast the entire time I was trying to patronize your establishment. I started at the cash register, then stepped back to remember the names of the cookies I wanted. If you are going to be that strict about the way customers order maybe you want to print up a sign with clear instructions so others don't get in trouble like I did.
Good food but consistently rude customer service. I was sort of scolded for arriving too early for my pick up order and was told they didn't start it because I said I would be here at 1pm (it was the earliest their online order service would allow me to pick) and I arrived at 12:35. I was fine with waiting and could have done without the attitude. While I waited I decided to pick out some cookies. I went up to the register and then stepped back about 2 steps to the cookie counter so I could list of the types of cookies I wanted to make up my half-dozen. When I stepped back to select which cookies I wanted the cashier followed me and I was once again scolded because I was supposed to pay for the cookies and THEN step backwards towards the cookie counter to select my flavors. I'm not really sure why it mattered so much that the cashier needed to pause the whole transaction to correct me, during which she forgot which cookies I had listed so I had to repeat my order. My bad for not following your exact, unlisted protocol for cookie ordering I guess.
I then took a seat to wait for my food and after waiting a few minutes I was given a pager "so I wouldn't have to stare at them" which I most certainly was not doing. When my food was ready the pager didn't go off and the cashier instead called my name. My order was missing my chips and pickle, which I noticed when I got to my car. I went back in and brought it to their attention and after they checked my receipt to confirm I was correct they fixed their error.
This isn't the first time I've received this kind of attitude and negativity here, but it'll probably be my last because I'm tired of giving...
Read moreOn September 23rd my mom, my sister, my nephew and my 3 daughters stopped and all the kids wanted a Ice Cream Cone, I got my two younger daughter's 1st and oldest daughter last. As I was going to pay my oldest daughter came too me her ice cream had fell off the cone I was paying I assumed she went to lick it and it fell which wasn't the case she didn't even go too lick it and it fell. The red haired woman than made another one (didn't catch her name), I noticed she charged me for 4 should of been 3. When I asked her about it she got rude and SNOTTY with me and started arguing, I told her the ice cream cones were poorly made the ice cream was on sideways too begin with she should of never charged me for the one that fell, she threw my change (money) at me on the counter, Still being rude my sister stepped in and told her there's no reason too be treating customer's like she is, rude too her as well my sister asked for a manager she went to get one and as we were standing their for several minutes she noticed she was over by the bakery/coffee section talking as my sister told her she thought she was getting a manager numbers the woman just laughed and smiled. She was a very rude and SNOTTY woman and definitely POOR SERVICE! My nephew never did get his ice cream cone either! It wasn't even about being charged the $2.00 for the extra ice cream cone it was how she handled the situation with an attitude, rudeness and smirk the whole time. I do have a video of the woman smiling and smirking as we walked up after my sister noticed she was just talking too another woman working there when she was claiming too get a number, but unfortunley I cannot upload on this review. Uploaded on another review and the woman who her name is Natasha, facebook messaged me harassing...
