I have attended performances at The Grand since the early 1990s. The intimate and authentic decor, phenomenal acoustics, and quality performances can not be beat. It is also a wonderful venue for local talent and productions.
Several years ago, it seems there was more corporate and private funding to subsidize national productions, dance toupes and theater that could not be supported by ticket sales alone. Sadly, that private funding support does not seem to be as extensive today, but performances are always so well done. Once, I even attended a wedding there.

I know that not all your shows cater to senior citizens but some do. Just food...

There were plenty of volunteers available to help with seating and directions. There was a lot of congestion in the lobby during intermission that could have been avoided with assistance of some better placement of things, signs or volunteers directing lines merchandise, beverages and bathrooms. Our chairs had been well used and hopefully are in queue for replacement. Lighting was hot and awkward. One of the singers seemed to struggle with some of the direct lighting. All in all, we still love the Grand and will continue to attend events there. Considering making a donation for box seat...
