GDL Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Ottawa

So, I placed my order for pickup for the first time at this restaurant. Every other customer who walked in before me stood at the front entrance and waited to be seated. After about 6 minutes, an elderly family walked in. The guy stopped and asked if I was waiting. I said yes, but he insisted that I go ahead since I was just picking up food. His family could wait, he said.

Another 10 minutes passed, and I saw that my order, which I had already ordered, was still sitting there. I was starting to get upset. Everyone in the restaurant was staring at me, and I didn’t know what to do as a first-time customer. I watched as employees did flame tricks and other employees just standing around watching as well, and waited until they were done. Then, they walked right past me.

I would say I had a terrible experience. I shouldn’t have to speak up or wait over half an hour for food that was sitting right in front of me. .The food taste wise is okay but the quality is definitely not I paid 40 bucks for a taco salad and a burrito meal got the wrong sauce on it and the bowl had 95% veggies/sourcream and 5% ground beef not even filled up that’s not even worth it won’t be...

We really appreciated the effort of the staff, and we understand that things can get hectic during busy times. Unfortunately, we had a long wait for our food, and we noticed that other tables who ordered after us received their meals faster.

When our food finally arrived, there was a gap of almost 10 minutes between our dishes with the vegetarian dish taking longer. We found that the flavors were a bit lacking in both the steak fajita and vegetarian burrito. We know this can happen, especially on busy nights. We unfortunately won't be back but hope things go...

Tried this for the first time on Saturday, April 12. 4 of us for dinner. Wasn’t very busy. Drink orders were messed up. Corrected. Food comes out. 1 order of 3 tacos missing the rice and beans. 1 order of tacos with lettuce and cheese instead of Mexican style. My nachos were supposed to have beans, carnitas, cheese sauce, pico and sour cream- came only beans, carnitas, cheese sauce.
