Dragon City — Restaurant in Ottawa

We've been ordering delivery for years. Spent an enormous amount of money, and never had any problems. Until yesterday... My daughter and I were really craving their food, and sick of Thanksgiving leftovers already. So we went to the website and picked out what we wanted and placed the order with a debit card. Then they show up and this guy can hardly speak English and the first thing he" says to my daughter is "do you have cash". She tried to explain that we already paid. So I show him on my phone that we already paid, but he was trying to say we owe 4 more dollars. We already payed $48 for 3 people to eat which is kind of ridiculous. But this guy keeps saying we owe 4 more dollars. I didn't have cash, I even asked if they wanted to run my card for the 4 dollars and what he said didn't make any sense. Exasperated, I finally asked- "can we have the food or what"? So he did give it to us, and then the next morning I wake up to find out that they cancelled the transaction and then charged my card again for a new transaction with the added $4. So confused. Did I authorize them to cancel my transaction and recharge my card for a different amount??? They didn't even try to call or email and ask or anything. If they want to change their fees and charge an extra $4 for delivery, they need to fix their website. Showing up at a hungry customers door who's already paid the agreed amount and is ready to eat with his daughter and asking if they can get more money is really terrible business practice. This used to be a good place to order takeout, we used to patronize a few times a month. Our favorites were Mongolian Beef and General Tao’s Chicken. Over time the Mongolian beef became a soupy bowl of onions and very little beef, so we stopped ordering it. The General Tao chicken changed also too, the deep fried chicken in the dish was so tough and rubbery it was difficult to cut with a fork and we ended up throwing most of it in the garbage, we figured the cook just had a bad night. After the third time we decided that’s it, we aren’t going to order from there again. Well it’s been 6 months and regretfully we tried again tonight, same results, so chewy and tough we threw it away. Done with this...

This place was a place we used to eat at until I had a problem with my husband and I getting sick. I called to discuss it nicely with the owner, wanted my money back and give return the food and she was absolutely horrible to me, yelling and went nuts saying it definitely wasn't her food and treated me like someone that was lying. We have been going there for years. We won't be back and continue to share the way these owners treated our concerns. Wouldn't spend a dime there ever again and continue to share our horrible experience with our families and friends. Was extremely apparent she has no people skills and only cares...
