Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Ottumwa

How many times does it take to make a #5 with ONLY LETTUCE? The last time I was here it took 3 different sandwiches to get the right one. This time I get handed a pick up order, then brought my order to look in the bag and there’s an entire ranch open and all over everything. He comes back to the window and said “what did we mess up this time?” I said “there’s a ranch open and all over everything.” He said to his coworkers “guys what are we even doing?!” Proceeds to shut the window walk away and was laughing about it. He adds cookies in the bag for the “inconvenience” then to open my sandwich to it to be wrong and me having to go back AGAIN. Go back in to get the sandwich remade and the guy just try’s to offer more cookies. I’m sorry but even after trying to give me free cookies, how does that change anything? DO NOT go there wearing a shirt with a USA flag especially if you have a blue stripe on it. They acted cheerful when I first got there but then all of a sudden would not talk to me at all except to take my order. I was trying to make cheerful conversation with them and ask them how they're doing and how's business and they would not even look or talk to me. Not one other customer in the place I did not realize what was going on until after I'd gone back to my car. I did not eat the sandwich. I'm not saying but they did anything to my food, but wow, they must be brain washed by the media to believe that all cops bad. Completely ignored me other than to take the order. I actually thought that they were deaf ( really ) when I first went in and thought I might have to use sign language or point at the menu. I love Jimmy John's, but this experience...

I absolutely love Jimmy Johns!! It's become my new favorite food addiction. They have great service and are quick and the bread is amazing!! I have to get two sandwiches every time I go because I know I'll want the other one later. I've gotten my boyfriend on this kick as well, so that's four sandwiches every time, $35 well spent.. And idk who was making sandwiches today, but they did a superb job!! Probably the best sandwiches I've ever gotten, and I'm already hooked, but the quality of my sandwiches today is the only reason I got on to leave this review.. great job whoever you are!!
