UPDATED 7 YEARS LATER: STILL RUDE AND INACCURATE SERVICE on 12/31/17 at approx. 215pm. We haven't gone to this BK in a few years (last review was 7 years ago) b/c we've had bad service and attitude at this location. But we had a $10 virtual gift card so we thought we should use it. BIG mistake. Not only would they not honor it, the lady working the window basically tossed it back without explaining why they wouldn't take it. To make matters worse, she forgot my son's food so my son didn't have anything to eat. I WOULD RATHER TAKE THE LOSS ON THE ORDER THAN GO BACK AND DEAL WITH THIS LOCATION. To be fair, the BK in Olathe and also the one on 135th were much better. Do yourself a favor and drive to one of those other locations. ORIGINAL POST: My wife went through the drive through and asked about the difference between two of their items and the response came back like they couldn't believe someone couldn't figure it out. To make matters worse, my wife could hear them talking about her to other people through the intercom. Tried contacting the store manager to no avail. Their lack of response to several attempts at contacting them show they have zero customer service interest at least with us. I used to like BK...now I see why the news points to them going the way of Circuit City. Luckily there are other places to eat...
Read moreI love this BK right by my house. The staff is super pleasant and the interior is really great looking. The specialty food though is lacking. The "classic" BK menu of whopper, whopper jr, spicy chicken - those are the best tasting items for me. The promo/specialty ones, such as the Sourdough King and Philly Cheese-steak, well, safe to stay away from those ones.
Here's the thing, the Sourdough King, my first experience with it, was served to me with 2 slices of white bread instead of sourdough. It was pretty funny, yet I used to work in fast food (BK actually decades ago), so I assumed it was because it was late night and they ran out - sooo, that's fine. My next item though, the Philly Cheese-steak...nope. Just...nope. Please do not try this. It tastes like a whopper with expired onions and chalky cheese. There is a bitterness from the onions, and after-taste from the cheese-attempt-at-whiz that required me to eat a candy cane right afterwards to get the taste out of my mouth. I am not kidding. Again, I am not sure if this is this location and not sticking to the prescribed corporate BK menu...but, hey, it is what it is.
I will always go back to this BK out of proximity, but I'll keep my taste buds happy and stick to their delicious Spicy Chicken...
Read moreHad a horrible experience with the manager here this evening, Marie, Maria? We go here sometimes, my kids like those big chicken sandwiches. We ordered one, and an original chicken as well, got to the window and a very kind, respectful young man named Juan, gave us our order. Oops Juan! I have 2 regular chicken sandwiches, and I ordered one of the bigger. No problem, he went to go get us one, mistakes happen, its all good. But poor Juan, his manager Maria, was rude to him and us, wanted to charge us for another meal. I refused, and then she instructed me to give back my bag, after I had paid. Absolutey not. If your HQ knew you were digging thru peoples paid for and already handed over bags during covid, you'd be fired, Maria. I dont want your hands in it.... but I was happy to give you back the extra sandwich. Could have just asked instead of going to great lengths to be a jerk. Juan, you were sweet, kind and patient, even thru your mistake. Your manager just wanted to make you feel bad about that mistake, but remember, some people are just ugly inside. Maria: not everyone is trying to scam bk, lol, and as a person who works with customers every day? You might need some training from Juan. ...
