Five stars for service and presentation, four for quality, and three stars for flavor. Presentation and ordering process is a delight. Super clean and modern! My order of 4x cookies was ready within 3-5 minutes, and the boxes and cookies inside were nice and toasty upon reception. Crumbl's cookies are expensive, but that's because they're huge! I've had Insomnia Cookies many times before; I'd say Crumbl's are about 2-2.5x the size of those. That said, Insomnia has the tastier cookies, just too bad they don't have a store around these parts.
Update: I have been buying Crumbl every week for the past 4 weeks or so to try all their flavors. I've updated my review score to indicate what I think should match peoples' average experience at Crumbl. Here's a breakdown of the good: Service is always quick, kind, considerate, and thorough. Top marks. The ordering process and presentation is clean, modern, and appealing. I've never had a hitch, minus the app letting me order from the Olathe store before it was ever actually open. Fairly innovative and definitely fun flavors and decorations. It's exciting to come back every week and see what's new. Great business decision. Amazing ganache. Every time they have a cookie with chocolate ganache it ends up being my favorite! Their cream cheese icing is pretty tasty, too. The cookies are always hot or, in the case of delivery, at least warm when you receive them. Nice! There's usually something for everyone, even among the new weekly flavors, and even for my roommate who can't have: 1. Citrus, 2. Any variation of chocolate, or 3. Peanut butter/nuts (doesn't like)
And the not-so-good: Every other cookie I receive is raw in the middle, even after fully cooling. Some cookies are just utterly underwhelming, especially the dough. I've noticed that particularly their peanut butter cookie dough is just largely flavorless, a bit dry, and always leaves me wanting. They keep bringing it back for new flavors but the dough makes it the worst cookie of the bunch without fail. All the other doughs they use are kinda bland about half the time.
Crumbl does a lot right, but I can't give them more than 3 stars when the flavor and quality of the product is so inconsistent. I truly hope...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a horrible experience picking up my pre-order of 12 pies (and not the minis). I was 15 minutes early and was told to check in online. But the app wouldnāt let me check in until 5 minutes before my actual pickup time. However, 2 other people came in and one of the workers checked them and had them in front of the line! When it was finally my turn (after a 20-25 minute wait), I was told that they ran out of the 4 key lime pies that was in my pre-order. They offered to get me other pies or 3 minis key lime pies for each of the regular sized pies. And when they showed me the apple pies that I had ordered, I had to ask if it was supposed to be apple pies.
I was upset that they ran out of my key lime pies since I had pre-ordered it 2 days early. And 3 minis isnāt the same as 1 regular pies. So other people that weee walk inās before my pick up time were able to get the regular sized key lime pies but I was not able to for my pre-order.
These are the pics of the pies that I got. The supposed apple pies are next to the pecan pies. And you can see the size of the mini pies as compared to the regular pies. I also attached a pic of what the apple pie was supposed to look like. As you can see the actual pie looked nothing like their picture.
So very disappointed with my whole experience picking up my pre-order and the entire pick...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was at this location yesterday with a friend and we were very disheartened by the service from the young lady at the counter. We ordered four cookies, two for each of us. We were going to grab coffee outside and eat some of our cookies then part ways. My friend kindly asked if we could get another box since we were going home and one cookie was for our family members at home. She told us she "couldn't do that." I literally drove home with cookies on my lap because we had no other option.
I would have even paid for the box. But she told us no, right away. As someone who works in customer service my mind was so blown by this treatment, neither of us pushed the issue.
We work right next to this location and order huge boxes several times a month and come by during our work day. We will use a different location or pick something else for all the employees going forward and will not return to this location. This seems like such a silly thing to double down on when crumbl is a to-go type of cookie place...
After rude teenage employees last time as well, I think we're done. Management needs to train their employees...
