About four years ago while my daughter was in physical therapy at Children's Mercy nearby I came in to browse. I fell in love with the cutest little Maltipoo puppy. I always wanted one but not the same color as him. However, his "spunky" little personality won me over.
I picked my daughter up from physical therapy and brought her over to take a look and she fell in love too ā¤! Unbeknownst to me she took a picture of him and texted my husband saying "Mom wants THIS!!" š¤£
By the time we got home dad and brother wanted to meet the little guy as well. The staff was very pleasant, patient and understanding when we visited. This was a huge decision for our family and everyone had to be onboard.
I thought and thought about it and the last time I came in to see him one of the staff members was on the phone and came over saying someone was interested and was I ready to move on purchasing the puppy. Well, that did it. I jumped in and haven't regretted it.
My husband laughs and said it was a "sales tactic" and they GOT ME!!! I don't care I needed the push - I guess. Upon purchase they asked us to come back in a couple of hours so they could feed and bathe him. We of course went puppy supply shopping and when we came back he had the cutest blue bow around his neck and was clean as a whistle. The lady was very encouraging and told our little guy that he was going home to a wonderful family to enjoy a great life. Aaw!
They offered a free first vet visit as well and a guarantee. In the first few days we had some challenges and they were always there to answer questions, provide direction and give encouragement.
Four years later our "Ringo Starr" is doing excellent and we look back on our experience with very fond memories. We love our little spunky, smart guy with the sweetest disposition and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI donāt care for this location at all. Initially I thought it was just me but I took my daughters with me recently on Sunday August 15, 2021 and they mentioned the same way I was feeling soon after we left. The female staff never asked if there was something they could do to help us. There were three of them talking amongst themselves at the front counter and were very snotty. Never once did they leave their conversation to walk the floor to ask us anything. We then asked to see a dog and they told us there could only be one dog out at a time. This didnāt make much sense since there was more staff working the front desk than people even in the entire store. We had money to spend to purchase a dog and other items but the lazy staff never extended any help to see what it was we were looking for. I have purchased our family dog from the location and Prairie Village and I had a great experience. I wonāt be back to the Overland Park location again. Beware if you want to deal with lazy snotty staff donāt go to this location. If the owners see this be more selective of the staff you hire because their consistent lack of care and attention to customers will result in reviews like these. If people are coming to your store give them better customer service donāt just assume people will spend their hard earned money in a place where they are not felt to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe met with Lily/Lilly today. She was able to provide us thorough guidance on what we might want to think about buying to prepare for possibly bringing a puppy home one day.
She served as an AMAZING resource for all the essential puppy supplies that we didn't know we needed. She was kind, patient, told us a bit about her own dogs, and walked us through the store pointing out different products.
We left with exactly what we went in for-- a checklist of puppy necessities and a reference to specific recommended products, not just a generic "get a cleaning spray," but which cleaning spray and which size of kennel, and what types of toys, and so forth.
Every single one of our questions was answered. We never felt hurried out of the store or pressured to buy anything on the spot, we were just supported with incredible customer service.
Yay for Lily/Lilly-- who gets an A+ with five gold stars and two thumbs up! She's the type of employee everyone needs-- someone passionate about what they do and that makes customers want...
