Nordstrom Ebar Artisan Coffee — Restaurant in Overland Park

I love eating at the Nordstrom’s Cafe! The food is always good, staff is friendly and it’s a great place to share a bottle of wine and catch up. However, yesterday’s experience left me upset and my gf were put off after our experience. As always our food was great- it’s the gentlemen (I’m being nice- they were rude!) “serving” us. Our table had crumbs so I took a napkin and had to wipe it off-the server came over gave it a half wipe knocking the crumbs on the seat and walked away. When a different server brought our food- I asked if my pizza had the GF crust-(honestly it looked too good!) that when server #2 got rude- said “if that’s what you ordered that’s what it is”. I have serious allergy issues so I explained that it just looked different-he said “fine” and went to check-this took long enough that my pizza was then cold- he was perturbed I had asked. Neither he nor the other gentleman offered to refill out iced tea, and didn’t remove our dishes until we started to leave. They did leave the “tray” with chocolates. We did not leave a tip- not really feeling we got service that warranted a gratuity. As we left the tall older (gray haired) server walked past us and said “thanks for nothing”! TERRIBLE ,TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CAFE!!! Had a horrible experience today. Took my daughter to this cafe to have a coffee to relax after a long shopping spree at the mall. Ordered from Lesley-the server and to her negligence and in professionalism burned my daughter with hot drink by not closing the lid all the well when my daughter was taking a sip from her cup that spilled on her chest and gave her first degree burn. Lesley was not apologetic, did not care to show any empathy towards my daughter, did not take care to take control of the situation infact ignored us the whole time while we were asking for help and kept assisting other customer. Practically just ignored us!This is an inhuman reaction! Shame on her and the store for treating customers like that! And when we complained to the manager who was not there at the site we were given the number to call. The manager said he will come over and we waited for 10 minutes while my daughter was hurting and in pain-didn’t show up so we left to go to the pharmacy to get first aid help. Horrible customer service! I would not recommend going there. Lesley should be fired! I hope the company takes serious action...

I love this hidden gym but I hate that it’s become so expensive to eat here and that they don’t have the things like tiramisu dessert anymore and the prices have really gotten outrageous and some of the desserts they used to have like some of the cookies they don’t even carry anymore. They would be a lot busier if they went down on the prices just a bit because I remember the day when it used to be really busy on Saturdays and this would be a real treat for me and my daughter to get the Tuscan chicken or salmon with vegetables and a dessert and go shopping now they don’t carry either one of those .. It’s like Nordstrom is not listening to what there consumers are saying and the people that are working there are saying and they are losing there charm And if I’m gonna be playing close to $20 for a salad, I should at least get full off of it.
