Talk about TOP OF THE CHARTS CUSTOMER SERVICE. Move over Disney, because this Lego store has you beat! I came in knowing NOTHING about Legos. My daughter is very interested in them. While I looked around the workers told me they have Duplo Legos in a bin for my kids to play with (2 and 4). And I know stores say that but I genuinely felt like they wanted my kids to explore. There was a female worker who explained the make your own Lego people. My daughter was so excited to make one, but I had no idea how the wing accessories went on. the female worker was nothing but helpful when my daughter asked her for help not once, but twice. She took a moment to show her how to take the person apart to attach the wings. We were easily in that store for 25+ minutes just playing and exploring. I had NO intention of buying anything ( I specifically told my kids we weren’t buying anything) but because we were able to experience playing with the items I could get an understanding of what my kids liked. The great service didn’t end there. When we went to check out the gentleman upfront made a connection with my son and he talked about his child how they both like the car legos. He told me about the Lego membership to earn rewards. So I signed up. Then he gave us a flyer to tell us about the Lego Play center in downtown KC. Which we knew nothing about this as we are a military family and just moved here. I just felt so good leaving the store. We were NEVER pressured to buy anything but more or less to enjoy our time. FANTASTIC JOB!!! You have a devoted customer from now on. Easiest $50.00...
Read morewhile the in-store experience was positive. The customer service I received in regards to an issue involving missing pieces was less than satisfactory. I purchased the new (and expensive) assembly square. When I got to section 4 of the build, I noticed there were several missing pieces, which prevented me from moving forward with the build. I called the store and told them what I found and the response was suggestive that they thought I was not being totally honest. After all, nobody else reported the same issue with this product, and the store build contained all the pieces. They said they weren't sure what they could do for me other than suggest I go on the Lego website and order each individual piece that was missing. I was not too happy about having to pay any more money than what I already had paid ($279.99 + tax) for this build. After which, I contacted Lego directly and they were able to send me the entire set for section 4 of the build, free of charge. This Lego store in OP really needs to work on their customer...
Read moreHoly cow, what a place! I've never been into LEGOs myself, I did stop in the store twice; once to browse and another to shop for my boyfriend's christmas present. I was blown away; I had more fun browsing than anything. The store has children's LEGO sets on the left with "adult" sets on the right. I can't describe how COOL these sets are. Some of the themes of the sets I saw included Harry Potter, Minecraft, Mario. There were so much more but those initially caught my eye.
They have a section where you can buy loose LEGOs if you need any spare ones. I signed up for a LEGO "VIP" and immediately after doing so, I was given some gifts - a four-set of coasters (each was a LEGO face, and if you flip it over the expression changes,) a small LEGO kit for younger children (We donated it to CHOP) and a LEGO kit for older children, also donated it to CHOP.
The experience alone was very cool, but the rewards and the kindness of the staff and the end result of the LEGO set were...
