Yesterday evening 06/09/2023 I had joined the waitlist for the new Overland Park, Ks location located on 9761 Metcalf, I enjoyed my first visit so much I thought I would bring so coworkers from my law firm to the restaurant to experience it. Unfortunately I left embarrassed, unsatisfied and apologetic I had ever considered this. The type of disgraceful service we received would be shattering for Mr. Morgan was to reflect on it, CFO Kieth Humpich would view this as needing immediate risk reconciliation. As a shareholder, this should be brought up in quarterly’s and at the annual shareholders meeting. I’ll make sure to voice this loudly if not reconciled. I join the waitlist for 5 - and get a 60-80 minute wait, a partner wanted to join with his wife, I called and moved the party to 7 people. I was told 7pm on the phone, showed up and was told an additional 30-45 min wait. Not that big of a deal but a lack of scheduling awareness, time estimates and lack of knowledge from general staff regarding flow of supply chain issues was prevalent. After sitting 7 full grown men and woman to a 5-6 person booth.. we waited 20 minutes just to get water and bread, an additional 30 minutes to get our drinks, and when the food was brought out we were missing salads that should’ve been brought first, and staff was alerted but did not attempt to reconcile until the end of the meal. The service was horrendous, no communications from a out of touch managerial staff, it’s almost as if the company doesn’t understand the “legendary service” initiative coupled with shareholder value, the service we received would actually be negligent to its investors and it’s day to day operations are hurting shareholders if this is the general day to day operations. I was embarrassed to have been seated as such, and the service to top it off made me question the staff, managerial aspects and the company as a whole. As it is a new location, I was thinking it would be fresh off Corp training and probably being still ran by an experienced staff. This should be trickled down to the regional director. I consider my time valuable and steer away from spending time approaching these rare situations but as a shareholder I felt I needed to say something. I am extremely dissatisfied with this experience and again embarrassed, I don’t even want to show up to the office on Monday. I will never make another recommendation in TRH...
Read moreI have to edit and revise my review. The food is always good and we eat here once and sometimes twice a week. After having a server named Alexandria I feel very differently. My wife always gets one margarita. Two weeks ago this server pushed a second 18 oz margarita on her and when we went home my wife told me to never let that server talk her into it again. My wife was sick and had a headache. This evening we went back and had this server again. Alexandria took our drink order immediately; however, she disappeared after the drinks and didn't take our dinner order for 15 minutes. After our food order was placed she came back and said, "ready for your second drink?" My wife told the server that she had to go back to work and couldn't. The server then continued to try and talk my wife into a second drink. I was tired of witnessing this and I interjected and told the server, "NO". The server then wanted to debate what was happening with a provoking attitude in a mocking way. This server went on to tell my wife they have 10 oz drinks if "she still wanted to have fun" after my wife said she had to work and no, and after i said no. Once our food was delivered the server who helped our table twice prior to this alcohol debate would now not stop interrupting our dinner. At one point she was provoking in nature saying to me, "what's wrong?". Another time the server came back and asked to take my fries as I was eating them. A third time she came back and looked at me and said, "Okkkkkkkkk" and then walked off. A fourth time she came back and took my wife's margarita glass and said, "since you won't be needing this." I have a moral issue with this server pushing drinks. I believe she does this to get customers drunk to not only sale more drinks, but to also receive more tips. This is immoral and downright dangerous. The server doesn't know the customer's tolerance or whether a person is driving. What if she pushes too many drinks and a person gets into a wreck? This is dangerous behavior. This ruined our dinner. We will NEVER return to this location again. I am disgusted by the servers provoking, arrogant, attitude. I do not drink, so both instances I have sat there sober and watched this person repeatedly try to push additional drinks amd not take no for an answer. The management needs to be aware of this behavior. You lost a frequent...
Read moreI hate that I have to write this review because in the past I've had nothing but good things to say about Texas Roadhouse locations.
To start, this was the first time my husband and I have visited this location. The waiting area is inconveniently the same location where the servers have to go to get the rolls and butter so in a full waiting area people are shuffling around to let the servers get the rolls.
We get there around 4:45ish and check-in. We're told that it's a 20-30 minute wait and we would receive a text message when we're ready to be seated. 5:22pm comes around we receive the message. We go up to the host and we're told to line up against the wall (where the rolls and butter are) to wait. 6pm comes around and over 20 people that were waiting with us when we came in have all been seated (some have already finished eating and left). My husband has to go to the host for a 2nd time and was told they don't know why our party wasn't called. We didn't get seated until almost 6:15ish.
We're happy that we're finally seated cause that means the rest of the process should be smooth... We were wrong. We got sat at the table and of course had to wait longer for our food. The food was not great compared to other locations i ordered the chicken fried chicken... the chicken was hard like it wasn't cooked thoroughly. My husband ordered a loaded sweet potato (thinking it came with butter, bacon, cheese...etc like a regular loaded baked potato)....it came out with more marshmellow than there was potato. Who i assume was a manager got it corrected quickly(one good thing). With as much wait time I didn't want to wait any longer to send the food back and wait more.
I took a few bites of my food and couldn't eat anymore as I started feeling sick to my stomach. As I type this I'm still feeling sick to my stomach 3 hours later.
The entire experience was exhausting. If we were told up front the wait time would have been longer than 30 minutes we probably would have come back another day. However, the food we received wasn't worth...
