Context: I am local to the area since 2017. I frequent Asian restaurants as I lived in Japan and South Korea for a significant portion of my life. I make this review to inform the management, not to disparage any aspect of the establishment beyond what I experienced.
Their service and atmosphere were great. The staff attended to our needs quickly and showed no signs of early operational slowness. The waitress even gave us drinks on the house, likely sensing our reaction to the food.
The main gripe surrounds the food itself. We ordered the Bento (to try as much as we could) with Chicken Karaage and Unagi Kabayaki, the Pork Buns, the Sweet Potato Roll, and the Tonkotsu Ramen.
The Unagi’s texture remained very rubbery and lacked the normal rich flavor (as it’s a fattier fish). The pork buns carried a sour undertone throughout which threw me off. Additionally, the texture of the pork resembled jerky, not a delicate piece of meat. Finally, the Tonkotsu ramen had an odd flavor resembling when you boil dark leafy greens (the bitterness aspect).
The reason I am rating the food at 1 star surrounds how my girlfriend and I felt immediately after consuming the food. I had stomach discomfort after 30 minutes, leading us to run to Casey’s to grab Pepto. The remainder of the night surrounded fighting off acute food poisoning symptoms.
We did not consume any other food outside of what the restaurant served. I am just putting this review in to notify other diners and...

I visited with my husband and our 19-month-old son, and the staff immediately brought out a high chair for him — such thoughtful service that made us feel truly welcome.
The menu is impressively diverse — ramen, sushi, appetizers, desserts, even milk tea! Whether you’re craving comfort noodles or fresh sushi rolls, there’s something for everyone. We ordered their signature Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and Spicy Beef Ramen, and both were incredible. The broth was rich and flavorful, the spice level just right, and the noodles perfectly chewy. The marinated beef was tender and savory, and the portions were generous too.
Don’t miss their pan-fried dumplings — they’re crisp on the bottom, soft on top, and pair beautifully with the dipping sauce. Easily one of the best gyoza I’ve had in a while!
Another thing I love about Kiwami is how family-friendly they are. I noticed the staff helping kids use chopsticks by offering little helpers or forks — such a kind and thoughtful touch.
Great food, warm service, and reasonable prices — Kiwami Ramen & Sushi is the kind of spot that makes you want to come back again and again. If you’re looking for delicious ramen and sushi in a welcoming setting, this place...

I just discovered this new Ramen & Sushi spot and I’m so glad I did! The staff were incredibly friendly, and to my surprise, they even gave me a free Boba tea with my meal. I ordered the spicy ramen and the octopus balls—both were delicious!
Prices are very affordable and competitive compared to other similar restaurants. The space inside is super cute, with both booths and chairs so you can pick whichever vibe fits you. I even noticed a family enjoying dinner there, so it’s definitely family-friendly.
Even the to-go packaging was thoughtful and well put together. Plus, they offer sake and beer, which is a nice bonus. For sushi lovers, there are plenty of options here too.
If the owner happens to read this: I’d love to see you expand onto Uber Eats (or another delivery app). It would be amazing to order your food when working from home. Also, consider introducing yourselves to the employees across the street at the Shamrock corporate buildings—they’d definitely appreciate knowing there’s such a great lunch and dinner...
