My wife and I first time eating at longhorn. We honestly didn’t know what to expect or know any who tried this place before. We ate a late dinner and was expecting a long wait, but to our surprise we were able to walk right in, because it was just two of us. My wife ordered fried onion rings for appetizer. I don’t like onions at all, but I tried one and was hooked. I think it’s more of the seasoning/breading they used that had me eating something that I didn’t even like. Also, the amount they give you is ridiculous(a good thing) Will order these again from here Now after our appetizer, wasn’t really any room for dinner. Out dinner arrived maybe 15-20 minutes later, not bad I ordered ribs with a double order of fries and my wife had chicken strips and a baked potato. I have eaten a lot of ribs from many places, and this was by far the largest I’ve ever had. As far as taste, it wasn’t my favorite, had better but it was still doable. I think it was more of the sauce they used. My said her chicken strips were wonderful and the baked potato had seasons she’s never tasted before in a baked potato. Price wasn’t to crazy. It was what we were expecting. We will be coming back. Update. 10-30-21 We returned and I got a burger and cheese and bacon fries, wife got the same thing as before. My burger was very good, don’t know if it was the best I had but it was better than the ribs by far in my opinion.

First of all we love eating at Longhorn…. usually….however normally we eat at the Legends location. This time we ate at the one on Metcalf since it was closer. My husbands drink came out wrong and 15 min after ordering, then my drink did not even come until after our dinner started. We both had the filet, mine was Medium plus (don’t judge) and my husband’s medium Rare to medium. My 9oz came out Medium Rare and on a plate full of blood. My potatoes and asparagus were soaked in blood. It seams they are not letting the steak rest first and the result is a very unappetizing image. I had them re-plate my dinner but had not checked the temp yet. I did not want to send it back as I already felt like a pain and our poor waitress said it was her first day yet she was taking tables alone? Being a restaurant manager That’s crazy to me! Me and my husband swapped steaks instead so he could eat the rare and I could have his wrong cooked steak medium well which was supposed to be Medium rare. I told the server to tell the Manager assuming they would stop by the table but no one ever came to the table. After waiting 20 min after we were done eating we finally got our check and will never come back to this location. It’s sad because it’s so much closer ☹️ Photo is of my supposed to be Medium plus

Dear Longhorn. Maybe if you would stop treated customers like we are a bother YOU WOULD BE BUSY. Hurry up get them in and hurry up to get them out. THAT IS YOUR MOTO. We come there to have a nice quiet dinner. To enjoy appetizers, salad a nice steak and maybe dessert. Tonight from order to dinner everything came out in under 10 minutes. Meaning no enjoyment of the apps, the steak came before the salad and so on. The potatoes were sent back as they did not come out like we asked, husband asked for medium well and got raw. Even tried talking to the manager and nothing. We will drive to Olathe to feel valued and appreciated at Texas Roadhouse. Just let us enjoy spending $100 at your place in stead of rushing us out. OH BY THE WAY. THANKS FOR THE FREE COKE AND COKE ZERO. Super nice of you all

This was our first time visiting the Overland Park, KS location on Metcalf Ave and it was terrible. It all started with our waitress Hannah calling me a liar when after having taken my fiance's order which included a salad, and I asked for extras to be added to my salad. To which her response was, "you didn't asked for a salad" and I advised her that I did but I added a loaded baked potato. Hannah responded by saying, "No you didn't you liar", I was taken aback, was speechless and didn't respond because I didn't want to make a scene. Both my fiance and I ordered the Cowboy Porkchops but when they arrived at our table, both of our orders were tough to cut and the brussel sprouts were super salty so, we asked for them to be replaced with other menu items. Hannah took the orders back and we just ordered hamburgers due to time constraints and we had another engagement we had to go to and we were still hungry. Hannah said that the manager would be out to talk to us but, no one EVER came until I asked for another waiter for a manager. Manager Daphne came out who was extremely loud, unprofessional, rude, condescending with the way she was talking to us. She asked what the problem was since the porkchops were removed. We tried to politely explain to her that we felt as the entire meal should have been comped because we had to wait extra time for a meal that we could have purchased for less at Burger King or McDonald's. We never told our waitress Hannah that we didn't "like" the porkchops because they were favorable but, they were tough but she expressed to Daphne that we didn't like them at all which was entirely false. Then Manager Daphne got extremely loud to the point that people in the restaurant started to stare, which was quite embarrassing to us. Daphne (we felt) was making it appears as we didn't have the money to pay and were trying to scam Longhorn out of a free meal. However, we most DEFINITELY can/could afford ANY and EVERYTHING on your menu because we are both hard working people. She snatched the ticket, took it to the register, made a very small adjustment and never came back to the table to apologize or anything for the service. I was very unsettled, frustrated, disappoint and a little upset at this point and really wanted to tell Daphne about her unprofessionalism and attitude but thought better of it because once again, I didn't wat to cause a scene like she had just moments ago. So I asked for another manager and was able to speak to Mary, who came to our table like a manager should have and calmly talked to us, apologize for the actions of Daphne but still we were made responsible for our ticket which we paid. I was so disgusted at this point that I forgot to mention to Mary about Hannah calling me a liar. Whether Hannah thought she was being playful or not, you just don't call a customer a liar because YOU didn't hear the complete order, it's never acceptable to just outright call a...

My Co-workers and I went to this particular location today for lunch to celebrate one of our co-workers birthday and the experience was horrible!!! From the moment we walked in the service was horrible. They didn't even ask how many people we had in our group they just assumed it was 2 of us but there were actually 7. They sat us down and took FOREVER to ask us what we would like to drink. Once we had our drinks and bread we quickly ordered our food because we only get 1 hour lunch and that includes travel time. We ordered, salads, and burgers. Nothing too complicated or too much because of the 1 our time limit. After 30 minutes the table next too us who walked in about 15 min after we did already had their full meals (STEAKS) and we were still waiting for ours. after about 40 min They finally brought out the side salads for the people that ordered them. At that point we asked how long the food would take because our time was almost up. The supervisor was so rude but told us it was coming out soon. After the hour we still had'nt gotten our food and it was time for us to rush back to the office. We let them know that they never brought out our food and at that moment our meals were coming out and the RUDE Supervisor told the waiter to "take it all back because these people are leaving". They still expected us to pay for the drinks and side salad which we were going to do but then the RUDE supervisor just waived us off and rudely told us we didn't have to pay and walked away. They could have offered to bag up the food and provide a discount due to the inconvenience. But nothing was offered and we had to come back to the office and spend the rest of the day hungry. This review probably wont mean anything but I wanted other Businesses who's employees go out for lunch to be aware that you may have a similar experience. This is the first Long Horn location i have ever encountered with such bad service. The one at the Legends...

My husband just tried to take me out for my birthday, but this location really screwed it up. I ordered a Flo's Fillet cooked medium, but I received a sirloin cooked medium. Our server had no clue and was oblivious to the point I was making about the wrong cut of meat. She took my plate and walked away and then came back with my plate and said I could eat while I waited for a new steak. What!?! Seriously??

It took forever for the new steak and server was MIA!! Manager finally showed her face and brought a fillet and looked at the other steak and agreed that even the shape was a giveaway that it was wrong. The manager said she would be right back to check on me. I cut the fillet and lo and behold it was medium rare which was not medium. She did NOT come right back at all. Neither did the server. When the manager finally showed, she did agree that the now lukewarm steak was undercooked and offered to "throw it back on". I told her nevermind, I was done.

I feel as though they attempted to pull a bait & switch on the cut of meat. How many others have they potentially done this too?? The server was new or clueless, but common sense would tell you to at least apologize even if you didn't screw things up and to keep showing up to serve the other 3 people at the table, right??? The manager did a mediocre job trying to rectify, but it isnt rocket science....stay and ask for the meat to be cut to be certain it is correct before you walk off!!

The server received 15% rather than the 20-22%, and I stated on the bill that "apologies go a long way"!!

I'd like to say Zero Stars - would not recommend but it won't let me. Note: I was so busy dealing with a truly awful experience that I didn't have time to enjoy anything enough to notice...
