Came to this location on a busy early Sunday afternoon. Waited about 15 minutes before being seating which was to be expected. My mother and I were seated by a friendly host. Our server, however, was one of the rudest waitresses I have ever encountered in the food service industry. We were so poorly treated, I thought taking the time to explain our dining experience could better help inform management, staff or other future customers in regards of spending the time and money at this location.
Upon taking our order, you could tell our waitress was flustered, frantic and in a hurry. After taking our drink and food orders in one round, I decided I wanted to add a coffee to my meal. After seeing her come around 3 times after ordering, I KINDLY asked about the coffee. She rudely responded with "I'm waiting for my other customers to order their drinks so I can bring them out together." OK, well the 3 times I saw her come around, she easily could of brought an extra coffee cup or ask someone else to do it for her, because we already had a coffee pot at our table. OK, no biggie.
Then our food comes out. I ordered the Workout Scramble which included fresh fruit AND a side of toast along with the meal. I informed the waitress about my missing toast, again, KINDLY. She argued with me that I did not tell her I wanted toast, to which I replied that it came with the meal. She said "Let me tell you how we do things around here" and proceeded with how I was wrong in how I placed my order. I wasn''t aware I had to state something that was clearly included in the meal and on the menu. I also found it very inappropriate to argue with the me (the customer) while my food was getting cold. My mother's meal also came out wrong, she received potatoes when she ordered hash browns. She didn't even bother mentioning this seeing it was SUCH a hassle to get a coffee cup and piece of toast to the table without being argued with. In the middle of waiting for toast, which didn't come out until I was almost finished with my meal, we had 3 different encounters of workers bringing a side of sausage stating that we ordered it for our table. This was a little uncomfortable while trying to enjoy our meal. If we said we didn't order it the first time, why attempt to ask 2 more?
Here is the worst part. After our waitress rudely tossed our bill on the table without saying a word, not checking on us, or asking how the food was, she charged us for an item that was included with my meal. (fresh fruit) At this point we just asked for a manager, because we did not want our waitress to argue with us AGAIN about something she was wrong about. He was very nice, apologetic and took it off our bill. Then, our waitress comes around to pick up our dishes, she states "I don't expect or need anything from you" regarding her tip. She then mumbled under her breathe how we weren't paying full price. First of all, we had no problem paying for what we ate. We are not going to pay 4 dollars for an extra side of fruit that we did not order or receive. My mother and I were so shocked and agreed that we have never been treated like this while out to eat. I will say the food was good, but the service was so unbearable that the overall dining experience was ruined. Customers are what keep your business running and from serving experience, I can say I know a thing or two about creating customer satisfaction. We will not be back to this location! The waitress's name on our receipt...
Read moreWe were a party of 2 and have dined at The Big Biscuit before. Past ratings would be 5 star! Our food was delicious and worth a 5-star rating! However, our service was below par. We had a really nice young man; but it was either an off day for him or he is not meant to be a server. After taking our orders, he came back twice to ask what we had ordered. When our food came, I did not get what I had ordered. We had to flag down another server to get him for us. Again, he came back two more times to ask what I ordered. When he did bring my food, he just set it on the side of the table and walked away, but at least this time the order was correct. He never checked on our drinks or came to ask if our food was ok. My friend again flagged down another server to get a tea refill, as we never saw him out on the floor. No manager ever came to our table. Our server came back momentarily to drop off our bill; I was charged for 2 entrees! When our server did not come back, we again asked another server for help. Most restaurants would have comped my entree that was wrong due to the amount of time I had to wait for my food, but instead I was charged double. This did get fixed to a charge for...
Read moreGood morning...... Just left from having breakfast there at The Big biscuit on Santa Fe normally have a wonderful experience there and it was not horrible this time. However, I was waiting for one more to join me, and the server seemed very anxious to have me order food instead of allowing me a few moments to have my guests arrive. Secondly, the host with the poofy ponytail talked very reckless while at the host stand. Making statements such as it doesn't matter if they're impatient or not they just have to wait or it doesn't really matter where they want to sit they just get seated wherever we want them to and if they have a problem with it then I can talk to a manager. Those statements are true but that doesn't need to be the attitude that is taken when taking care of gas there is plenty of ways to express any inconvenience that a group may experience but to have that type of attitude is not good to have especially when you're in within earshot of guests that are already seated. Please inform him that his voice carries in an open...
